What are some highlights?!

I probably just complained about a lot of things. How was Ireland????

weren't you in IRELAND??!?! tell us about that

Ireland was amazzzzzzing. I didn't like Dublin but we went to many small traditional towns and saw lots of castles and beautiful landscapes and met some awesome locals! Definitely a trip I would like to do again and suggest to others! (but stay away from irish "bacon" - american bacon or bust!)

The trip home was... special. We missed our gate time by 9 minutes (they close out 75 minutes before flights take off, we got there 66 minutes before) and they wouldn't let us through. Had to change flights ($204) to the next day. So we spent 19 hours in Dublin airport waiting for the next flight. Our flight took off Tuesday and was scheduled to land at 1:25pm, but didn't until a little after 2:30pm since we were stuck in a holding pattern doing circles because JFK was trying to get a runway clear of snow. Couldn't get to my car which was an hour from my house due to Northeast Phily getting 11" of snow, so I took NJ transit home which took another 7 hours.

Seriously an amazing trip, with such a bummer ending.. all over 9 minutes.

I made my gate by a minute once and it was horrifying, I can't imagine missing a flight by 9 minutes. At least you had fun while over there! I want to travel overseas so bad.

I just realized that I get to take my little nugget (brother) to see What's Eating Gilbert and Yellowcard soon, which will semi make up for missing Panic! My brother loves Chad Gilbert sooo obnoxiously much (mostly because he's dating Hayley Williams). He's been planning his outfit since the tour was announced. Taking him to his first show for his 10th birthday pretty much pegged me as best sister ever, so this will keep my cool points high.

Also, Sometimes by Britney Spears has been stuck in my head since this morning.

My parents didn't like Dublin either!  I liked everything I saw of Ireland.  I'm glad you had such a killer trip (minus those 9 minutes that set off that domino effect for you :()

Logan, I want you to know I +1'ed your post, but it does not apply to the Britney Spears part.

Dublin (especially Temple Bar) was very Americanized (TGI Fridays, multiple Starbucks, McDonalds, Burger Kings, etc, etc). I wanted to see small town traditional Ireland, so that just wasn't for me.

Madie, I hope you beat him up!

I accidentally dropped money at work and my boss yelled from down the hall "ARE YOU THROWING MONEY? WE ARE NOT THAT TYPE OF ESTABLISHMENT."

Then later on she asked me to hand her something and without thinking I just said "Absolutely not." Her husband was laughing for a good 5 minutes.

Some days, I really love my job.
