OG pressings of Hum's You'd Prefer an Astronaut available here 2/25?!?!

Recommended Posts

Missed out. This would've been a whole hell of a lot easier to order a year ago, before Title Fight decided they liked Hum.

I have no idea who Title Fight is but I was wondering why I saw all these younger/new people that were into Hum all the sudden. I figured it was because of SRC.

I started liking HUM in 2001, in 2000 I heard "Stuck on you" on the radio- found out who Failure was.  Being blown away by Fantastic Planet and Magnified, I looked around for similar bands.  I also found Shiner & Big Wreck via Pandora because of Failure.

So basically I like Failure.

All good bands. Check out Centaur, Anakin, and Orion too

This was my introduction to Hum in 95... a sampler cd from I don't remember where.
I never really noticed a similarity in Failure and Hum aside from the fact that most people liked both bands if they'd heard of them both.
Never saw Hum, but I did get to see Failure a couple of times.

I got both and it charged $8 total for shipping in the US.

Same here. $8 shipping for both.

Thanks. Did you happen to see what the shipping was before you added both albums to cart?

And since people are discussing how they discovered Hum; Chino listed "You'd Prefer An Astronaut" as one of his favourite albums in an interview. Since everything else on his list was great, I figured I'd Hum a shot. Here it is if anyone is interested.

That's the exact way I found them!

I was fairly certain this was something BMG put out and sure enough their logo is on the back of that promo cd.  This is probably where I first heard Hum and then saw their videos on 120 minutes or alternative nation.  I never did get a chance to see them live in the 90s because I was only in high school at the time.  However, I did manage to finally see them when they played the double door in Chicago a few years ago.  They played both New Year's Eve and New Year's day and it was fucking incredible.
