scottheisel
Missed out. This would've been a whole hell of a lot easier to order a year ago, before Title Fight decided they liked Hum. crapforgenius, firefoxUSSR, Bender and 3 others
robobob
Missed out too. I'll try again Wednesday, hopefully another batch goes up then.
nothingnatural
Missed out. This would've been a whole hell of a lot easier to order a year ago, before Title Fight decided they liked Hum. I have no idea who Title Fight is but I was wondering why I saw all these younger/new people that were into Hum all the sudden. I figured it was because of SRC. firefoxUSSR
I started liking HUM in 2001, in 2000 I heard "Stuck on you" on the radio- found out who Failure was. Being blown away by Fantastic Planet and Magnified, I looked around for similar bands. I also found Shiner & Big Wreck via Pandora because of Failure. So basically I like Failure. tonyfranciosa
this Title Fight talk is making me feel old. I was in college when DIH came out - saw them 5 times within 2 weeks during that tour and my hearing hasn't been the same since. crapforgenius
firefoxUSSR
Title Fight sucks. Hum has had a profound influence on me since I first heard Stars as a wee lad. I was hyped up about Floral Green when I first heard it, then a week later I'm bored with them. Perhaps not their best work?

In-Absentia
I got both and it charged $8 total for shipping in the US. Same here. $8 shipping for both. Thanks. Did you happen to see what the shipping was before you added both albums to cart? And since people are discussing how they discovered Hum; Chino listed "You'd Prefer An Astronaut" as one of his favourite albums in an interview. Since everything else on his list was great, I figured I'd Hum a shot. Here it is if anyone is interested. http://thequietus.com/articles/05329-deftones-chino-interview-favourite-records?page=

Never saw Hum, but I did get to see Failure a couple of times. I was fairly certain this was something BMG put out and sure enough their logo is on the back of that promo cd. This is probably where I first heard Hum and then saw their videos on 120 minutes or alternative nation. I never did get a chance to see them live in the 90s because I was only in high school at the time. However, I did manage to finally see them when they played the double door in Chicago a few years ago. They played both New Year's Eve and New Year's day and it was fucking incredible. In-Absentia
It was $5 in the US for just one of them. Awesome, thanks. Hopefully they provide a combined shipping price for international buyers. $25 for one LP to Canada is too much, unless they are shipping priority.
