psus2h
Thank you! Some artists are aware of it, others aren't. Also SteveHoffmanForums is where it's at if you care how the audio sounds above all else. I like SHF. I don't understand why when an album is released they don't just do: a DVD-audio/data disc (or a download) with high-res/no-DRC and a DRC-compressed MP3, and an LP or two. Maybe I just like the wrong type of music Like NIN has done?
firefoxUSSR
Like NIN has done? Yes like that beautiful set for Ghosts. Or sell them separate, or just a download of high-res/with less drc Gotye.com sells a 24-bit of Making Mirrors without drc. Smashing Pumpkins did Mellon Collie albeit some drc seems to have been applied. Radiohead did King of Limbs on 7digital.com Daft Punk is with Random Access Memories on qobuz.com (also Timberlake, Beyonce & Hootie) Deftones with hdtracks.com for Koi no Yokan There's more.... but I could go on and on... Speedpig
OK, just got a message back from the label regarding the packaging.... "It comes in a Red, plastic (mylar?) sleeve as there's a visual effect printed on the vinyl, itself that interacts with the transparent, red packaging." ...Not feeling this

Now I'll have to wait for MOV to re-press this. dobyblue
negavinyl
I'll probably just......*gulp*.....buy the CD. I much prefer to have some type of physical media when it comes to the bands I love. I'm honestly considering this as well. Also, it finally leaked.
morfiend
The AIC facebook page announced it's available for download on ITUNES now as well. I like the album a lot. I'd say "Phantom Limb", "Scalpel" and "Voices" are the 3 standout tracks but the album as a whole is really solid. Jerry is definitely front and center on most of the tracks so those wanting more of Duvall may be disappointed.
kk-downing
This record kind of sucks the first time through. The mellower tracks do nothing for me.
morfiend
Some of the best AIC tracks ever are the mellower ones......Jar of Flies anyone? I don't care if its heavy or mellow, if its a good song its a good song. To each his own though. nothingnatural

kk-downing
I do like those records, I just meant this particular batch has yet to grip me. Of course I've only listened to it twice so far. Could be a grower. Their last one took a few years to truly click for me. Nothing in my eyes will top their self titled record. Really wish someone would reissue that. celebdeath

anomynous
Love the album, the only track I'm "meh" about is Scalpel.

negavinyl
That album needs a vinyl release, badly. I was thinking the same thing. Surprised somebody doesn't scoop this one up. Boggy Depot apparently was pressed though.
morfiend
Yeah, I actually scored a copy of Boggy Depot for $5 at a record store. The top right corner of the outer sleeve was clipped but other than that it was like new. One of my favorite scores ever.
psus2h
Well here we are. Did anyone pick up the LP today? Perhaps we should post the highest price we see it selling for as opposed to the lowest. Ha ha. I heard $67 is retail

psus2h
I asked a local store to look into it. They actually apologized and said it would be $67 and that I might want to try an online retailer. Needless to say they didn't order it for me.
derby625
I wound up getting the CD for $10 instead. This thing is quite good this far.
