Sometimes splatter records will come out solid or just with a faint hint of the splatter color. It's just a byproduct of the production process. The only thing I don't like is that the jackets all have the same satin texture and the graphics are re-done for this release. Maybe it's just me, but I like it when a box set just includes every record jacket as it was originally released. On the posi, the jackets are ridiculously sturdy and should hold up well. And the vinyl colors are most excellent. I'm still shocked we got this much content for $128. I could easily see a more greedy label/band releasing this for $300.
