steleon
Hello Just purchased alice in chains , black gives way on clear vinyl , each record has what looks like a yellow stain on it , is this a bad thing , can it simply be cleaned off or is it the case that what used to be audiophile vinyl is now just a sales gimmick ? fourfourtwo
Its probably just leftover yellow pellets from a different press that didn't get fully cleaned out of the machine. Does the record sound good? If so, don't worry about it.
mattisr1984
just to back up what was already said. not uncommon, don't worry about it. enjoy the record.
3arl
Just scrub really hard with one of these and that yellow spot should disappear. vinylfilmaholic, Youinreverse, cbbrew22 and 1 other

beatnik11
If the yellow stain is in the vinyl then it was just probably some bit of color left behind from another pressing. If the color is some film on the surface then tell your friends to stop taking a piss on them. Also the "audiophile" part of 180g has always been a gimmick, there is nothing inherently better sounding about them but one upside is that they dont tend to warp as easily
Shelby
I get it, you're "diss"ing 180g vinyl. I agree.

iron666monkey
One time I pooped on a 180 gram record and it weighed 360 grams. That was a mediocre poop.
