RoboCop (2014)

Recommended Posts

I love everything about the original, so I'm on the fence. I'm sure I'll be seeing it at some point though.

I'm liking Michael Keaton in this trailer. I find he is always a good choice... Kind of pissed off that it's a carbomb that causes his injuries and not being shot up by a gang as per the original.

I am with you on this.

There are certain movies, in my opinion, that should never ever be remade. No reason to. This is one of them. When it happens, it takes away the "magic" of the original and makes it a caricature of its former self. And that breaks my heart most of the time when it's a movie that I've come to love. Sounds cheesy but hey, that's how surely a lot of fanboys feel about the stuff they love. I know I'm not alone in this.

Will I see this remake? Perhaps. Just so I can bitch and moan about it. Ha!

I love the original. It's in my top ten of all time. I also read the comics. I just approach it differently. If its done well then I welcome a remake. I always wondered what if Robocop was made today instead of yesteryear. I can always use more Robocop in my life. Even when he is fighting ninjas;)

I really don't want to judge since a reboot can be awesome ala Batman. I want a reboot, not a remake. As long as it's the former I don't see why an incredible film character has to go extinct. Frank Miller's script for R3 shouldn't be the final word in my opinion.

Remake = No

Reboot = I'll absolutely go see it
