rcafilm
I work in film so I love cameras and dabble in photography. Thought I'd share some of the shots I've done of my records. These should be plenty high resolution for those of you wanting to use them as desktop wallpapers, but if you would like the originals, they're available here. Plus more in this post. sharkticon, paynegretzky, slinch and 2 others

rcafilm
Okay, changed title and uploaded to flickr for decent high-res quality. Uploaded a few more while I was at it. Did you do all these with film? What cameras do you use? Lenses? Film stocks? Any special developing techniques? Spill! I like em These are all digital. I'd love to try some with film... I think it'd be very fitting to shoot analog on analog. Plus film has such a nice soft look that works with records. These have all been shot on either Canon 7D or Canon T3i. At this point all my lenses are cheapy ones. Most of these were shot with a Canon 50mm f1.8 and a few used a Canon 18-55mm f3.5 or a Canon 75-300mm f5.6. As far as techniques, I play around with different color profiles (the digital version of film stocks) and lighting. One or two of the photos use a technique called freelensing to redirect the focal plane. Probably the biggest thing I do with most of them is just a lot of color grading in Photoshop. Milking the blacks is one of my favorite methods (gets more of the film look), but usually I just play around with whatever looks good for each individual photo.Anyhow, couldn't add any more photos to the first post. so here's the rest that I uploaded. slinch

paynegretzky
Perfect. I was long overdue for a nice new background. Looks great on my macbook, I'm sure these look awesome on the larger iMacs. For those asking, these will fit perfectly on larger screens. If you click the link there is an option to download the images under different resolutions so theyll fit pretty much any screen
