batman
They're quickly becoming one of my favorites. Didn't realize Houston had such good beer. I was always spoiled living so close to Austin. Live Oak will always be my favorite.
mrewest
Finally had a Mad Elf today. Shit's tasty. Can't believe that sucker is 11%. Anyone still have access to bottles of ST Warlock? Prob out of season now, but I wouldn't mind getting the hook up if able.

imaxcowboyx
also, Richmond peeps: where's a good place to snag Hardywood beer? I'll be up for the tattoo convention this weekend, and wanna pick up some Gingerbread Stout
stranaspank
I went to Hardywood late Saturday and they're sold out of bottles already. Dude said locals places should be getting some today. I'm going to check Total Wine on W Broad after work. I'm hoping to get about 8 bottles for friends and aging.
iron666monkey
Been enjoying the hell out of Founders - Backwoods Bastard. It's one of my all time favorite beers. This year it comes in at 10.2%. For those that aren't familiar it's a dark ale that's aged in oak bourbon barrels. Absolutely fantastic. It comes in 4 packs. I have paid between $12.99 and $14.99 for a 4 pack. Unfortunately Total Wine always puts a limit on what you can buy.....one 4 pack per person, per day, and it always sells out super quick. I found a store in DC that had 2 cases so I bought both cases because they didn't have a limit, haha. They also gave me 10% off for buying so much which was really cool. I'm stockpiling a case like a squirrel for when the cold really hits and I need the warmth. Moral to this story is if you can find this stuff, BUY IT!!!! imaxcowboyx
imaxcowboyx
A bar down the street just did a Michigan tap takeover sunday and had a vertical of 2009-2013 Backwoods Bastard on tap. Glorious stuff. Although it was next to some other badass stuff like Bells Black Note, so I didn't try all the vintages.

I'm keeping a 4 pack of the 2013 to compare with the 2014. Such an amazeballs beer. I would've killed to have been at that tap takeover....though the next morning may not have been pretty. At. All. radiatorhums
Drank a bunch of Jubelale last night, might be my favorite winter beer. It's definitely my favorite beer from Deschutes.
deafening
Drinking Jubelale now. Nothing at all like Winter Solstice. Should I expect something different with every winter beer? Because I'm alright with that.

jdtg
It's the first real snow we've had this year, so I may have to break out something big from the collection... maybe an Abyss or Bourbon county stout

3arl
Got Upslope's Christmas Ale and Rogue's Santa's Private Reserve. Very good stuff.
dominic252
Bought what I thought was Magic Hat's Christmas ale, but it was a winter sampler with their ginger, IPA, pale ale, and stout. Tried the ginger, IPA, and pale. Pale was my favorite and the IPA made my sinuses stuffy and I started sneezing a lot....weird
