perhaps youve seen this already, but as a fan of spoken word(s) in my serving of post-rock, this is the list of all lists.

Have I been missing something in this song??  And yes it's spelled wrong on the website.

Caspian - Porcellous

EDIT:  Nevermind.  They mean that little voice sample at the start of the song.  Don't think I ever realized that was a voice.

I saw this come through today and was actually going to come post about it. This playlist is everything.

Great list, and plenty I haven't heard of, ie lots to check out.

Nice to see Hazards and Meniscus make the list, and i wish i knew what that old guy is mumbling in Soot

Surprised that Meanwhile, Back In Communist Russia didn't make it? I love Emily Gray's smoky soliloquies with her British accent.

Pnumekin tracked her career to find out that she was hired to some more recent work on his recommendation a few pages back: http://oldflamerecords.bigcartel.com/artist/distant-correspondent  I don't know why I haven't pulled the trigger yet. Only $10.

Man, that are some songs with voice samples already, good list...the new Kokomo comes into mind immediately as well.

But nothing beats the spoken words of GY!BE....love'em!

I listened to Monochrome Noise Love yesterday on my bike ride, and the opening track is still HUGE. One of my favorite things on that album.

I also really like how they used the Matthew McConaughy sample from True Detective on Licht/Staub.

\\

Shifting topics, would any of you guys be open to doing a Gofundme page to help Wout pay for a Joy Wants Eternity and Sunlight Ascending reunion for the US Dunk! festival?

I'm feeling like that's the only way we'll get to see these guys play again, or at least the best chance to have it be done.

I mean, I personally would have no problem throwing down an extra $100 or something for each band just to see them play. I might regret that decision later, but at least right now, I'm of the mind of "WHATEVER IT COSTS, JUST DO IT."

Must suck for those people who paid $37 for the band exclusive variant a couple weeks ago.

Yeah, kinda bummed since I don't really care about variants with this one... oh well. I guess the print and cds made up for the cost for me.

I'm guessing this falls under the "post-metal" moniker, but Steven Hess (also of Locrian), Colin DeKuiper (also of Bloodiest, ex: Russian Circles) and Trevor Shelley de Brauw (also of Pelican) releasing RLYR - Delayer this June.

They posted the first track and it kills
