These should help... the Orbit and the Debut Carbon are both great choices you can make; and I will be purchasing the Orbit turntable very soon. Stay away from crosley, ion, or anything with 'USB' in the name. It'll cost ya some with these tables, but it'll be worth it in the end. Good luck! :)

This is how you treat a person who is asking questions. Given how I've seen others react to people who ask questions I hope lots of people see this fine example and take note. Good on you, FBV.

Make a thread and post your local craigslist, I went the vintage route and I got an awesome direct drive TT that was cheaper and IMO better than most new entry level tables.

This is what I did and I love my vintage table. So much more character and style than the new ones IMO. Not to mention that it works perfectly even after 40 years of life.

I don't know how these usually go, because it's my first HT purchase (and I might be different since I'm non-US) but my order is still in "Fullfilling" since yesterday. Is this normal?

Also, for the record (pun not intended), $40+ for the shipping cost alone is insane. I've bought vinyl a-plenty from Discogs sellers in the US (including the 4 LP AVA record) and it's never come to above $15. I'd buy so many more records from HT if they would only lower their P&P prices.

mine is still "order editing". their international postage is expensive cause they are using insured priority shipping

Ok that's cool then, thanks.

As for the shipping, my recent Mariachi El Bronx record from MusicToday came via UPS International Insured, which cost just under 20 bucks.

I'm not complaining by any means, I just wish HT could source a cheaper international carrier, as I know for a fact that I for one would spend more money with them.

User gkersey usually helps out international folks with HT. He buys stuff and ships it for the cheaper prices. Just FYI.

Is the 2000 pressed an exact number because I'm curious as to how it "sold out" and then went back on sale. Did they find more or..?

From my understanding they only sell what they actually have on hand, so most likely yes, another box probably showed up or maybe some cancelled orders went back into inventory or something along those lines

usually they keep some back for exchanges/returns if the product is damaged, so thats how.
