David The Gnome
My copy is waiting for me at home right now. Never listened to this band before but since you guys were talkin' them up so much I ordered. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
Shitty Rambo
This album is definitely a slow grower for me. I'm starting to enjoy it more after a few listens.

You won't be disappointed, I don't think. This album is great, but – This album is definitely a slow grower This is very true. A lot of it sort of bled together on the first listen for me. But after a few revisits - and especially after adding it to my car's mix - I'm quite enjoying each and every song. That vocal melody on the closer (Paracosm) just rattles in my head for days on end. drewberinger
yeah this is a top 10 album for me thus far and the splatter came out perfectly
danionly
Forgot to come back and say that I am indeed not disappointed. Lovin' it. Been listening to it on repeat on Spotify all during work this week. Man, Pagan baby and Bring me the Head as a one-two opening punch just get me so fired up from from the start This.
kylekrische
I can't stop listening to this. It's everything I've ever wanted the Weatherbox to be. Fuck what a release.
drownmeinestrogen
It kills me to have this record and not play it, but I can't subject it to my shitty setup right now. Glad to hear it sounds good though, so far I think every Box album has had a pretty killer pressing.
xfactor675
Also, am i the only one who thinks that triple crown pushes this album poorly? It should be all over the place. I remember even american art was out there so hard...
drownmeinestrogen
Nah, I thought so too. A lot of the promotion seemed to be word of mouth, I see more people getting into this album because Box fans have promoted it themselves. Their promo game seemed pretty weak for Oh, Common Life too. rtw88
I've been slowly working this album into my current rotation to let it grow on me. Today I sat down with the lyrics and gave it a close listen. Though I already liked it, it really clicked with me to the point where I could see myself loving it more than The Cosmic Drama, which is my favorite album ever. No other band even comes close to engaging me lyrically as much as Weatherbox does.
David The Gnome
If anybody hasn't seen their Audiotree session, it's definitely worth checking out. If you haven't been to one of their shows this is a good indication of their live sound. They play Pagan Baby and 5 other tracks that are on previous releases. http://audiotree.tv/session/weatherbox/

jaxvinyl
Not with this video lol Pretty sure the last band to blow up from a music video was OK GO, and that was in 2006. I think Weatherbox will survive...

David The Gnome
Favorite track? Pretty sure mine is The Devil & Whom at this point. Dig the storytelling and lyrics a lot. The feel of the track transforms nicely through til the outro. Also love the Manchester Orchestea tie-in to The Mansion.

shawnayala90
my favorite song too. i was feeling that one for a bit, but after geeking out to some live sets from last year and cruising the record, I think my favorites are Radio Hive, Dark All Night for Us, and Last White Lighter. At this point, I am still mainly focused on the instrumentals, while I have sat down with the lyrics... the appeal of weatherbox has always been the insane arrangements and guitar and drum parts. i remember first hearing Broken Glowsticks in 2012 (i'm a box noob) and being so blown away by how that song is put together. i feel like this album is more than just an extension of that ep, its like an evolution (think a pokemon that evolves with a stone) and those three songs just put my brain in a space nothing else can. its like neuro-goosebumps or something.
