thejesseb
I have failed as a born-again Richmonder by never seeing GWAR. Now I never get to make amends. Sad news for the city. I live really close to Richmond and am really bummed I never saw them.
roadmonkey
Gwar had the best live show ever. Great music great fun. It was experiences I will never forget. I'm gonna miss that guy: Here's some footage from when I saw them at riotfest last year
albert
always a shame when someone dies at a relatively young age. though i feel like i'm the only person who had no desire to see them play...ever. This

radiatorhums
I remember getting drunk in my friend's basement at 17 and watching a GWAR tape. It was like nothing I'd seen. Jump forward 10 years and I finally got to see them, with that same friend. Wish I would have made it to more than that one show, but I'm happy that I managed to the once. chunkrock
I got to open for Gwar without their costumes two years ago. Legally they had to go under the name RAWG. It was the only time they did a RAWG show outside of the US and it was an outdoor benefit show for the Guelph Food Bank. They flew into Canada just for this benefit show and played for next to nothing since it was a benefit. I really respect them for that. Dave ended up liking our band and wrote a review as Oderous and posted it on his site. He was also in the process of creating art for our next album cover, which we all thought was really crazy. He was such a nice guy. I've listened to them since I was 13 and never would have thought I would have got to meet them let alone open for them and everything else. What a huge loss for metal fans everywhere! imaxcowboyx, IanRees and verb1999
