  1. Just got my blue euro press in from Banquet. Hopefully I'll have time to play through it in the next day or so. I liked the videos that were released well enough so if it's mostly like that then it should be fine. I certainly love the old AM sound (Pints of Guinness and Baby, I'm an Anarchist were songs my old band would cover somewhat frequently) but I've been able to follow along pretty well as the band evolved. I found that on the first few listens I couldn't really get into either WC or TGDB but after a while they really grew on me and are in pretty frequent rotation. I guess I'm kinda expecting the same out of this but with probably less of a break in period.
  2. My wife and I were in Ireland for a little over 2 weeks over August/Sept. I didn't get to hit as many distilleries as I wanted to, but had a great time regardless. We went to the Irish Whiskey Museum in Dublin and did the premium (4 whiskey) tour/tasting. Very entertaining and informative. Ended up answering some random question correctly and was rewarded with a glass of Powers John's Lane 12yr. The tasting was great, although unfortunately I don't recall all of the offerings, probably because my wife is not a whiskey drinker and she took a little nip of each of hers and left me to finish them. We went to Bushmills (Black Bush is one of my regulars) and did the tour with a tasting for myself. Had standard, black, 10yr and the 12yr distillery reserve (which was included with the tour and again had my wife's as well). I ended up getting a personalized bottle of the 12yr to bring home. We also went to Kilbeggan and did the tour and I did the tasting. We each got a standard (again, I had hers). I got the Tyrconnell flight which had 10 year finishes in Sherry, Port, and Madeira as well as the 18 yr single cask. I also did the silver flight which would have had standard Kilbeggan blend, Locke's single malt and Kilbeggan single grain. The bartender swapped my standard for the 21yr Kilbeggan at no charge. I left there feeling pretty darn good but empty handed. On our way home, at the airport, my wife wanted to hit the duty free and I ended up with a bottle of the Tyrconnell 10 year sherry finish and Kilbeggan 21 yr to go along with the Bushmills. Of course I had several others at pubs throughout the trip...
  3. $37.94 US was what was charged to my card with shipping and the exchange rate.
  4. Ended up ordering the Banquet variant because I'm irresponsible with my money...
  5. Waited to long to decide if I was going to pre-order this or not and missed out on the BSM exclusive. Ended up ordering the other /200 from Banquet. It looks like it might be an expensive Friday morning...
  6. One of my favorite things about this site is all the new music that I get turned on to. Never heard these guys before but really dug the sample song. Ordered the /200. Thanks.
  7. I'd like to get that /100 from Banquet, but $23 US plus shipping is just too much for me to spend on an EP. I guess I'll have to be happy with the /500 from PN and maybe try to grab a tour copy if I really dig it.
  8. Yeah, I screwed up on that one... Had too many different sites open at the same time. Sorry if I got anyone excited for nothing.
  9. Underground sounds in Ann Arbor, MI has some good stuff leftover online. Sublime, Brian Fallon, etc. Prices aren't too terrible. Store.ugsounds.com
  10. No need to buy new bridge pieces. Just use short pieces of speaker wire to connect the two sets of binding posts. In my experience, biwiring has never yielded any benefit.
  11. I could only grab a couple of things since I have to save some money for the Falcon show tomorrow night. Anyway, crossed some stuff off the want-list...
  12. Thanks, ordered, 12 year old me is going to really enjoy this.
  13. Yeah, they listed it funny. I'm pretty sure it should have read: side A/B Black/ - side C/D white. Looking at the photos from the 3 pack, the label with side B is on black vinyl and the label on side D is on White vinyl. Regardless, I ordered the 3 pack last night as soon as I saw it on Facebook. The only thing that kind of bummed me out is that you don't get the /100 variant of the Tuesday LP. But you do save $10... anyway, $35 shipped (in the 3 pack) for 3 LPs (including a double) is a great deal.

  17. Went ahead and got the yellow/red /400... The preorder queue is filling up fast.

  20. I'm planning on making it this year and hopefully taking at least 1 of the kids with me. It's only about 15 miles away but for some reason I almost always seem to be busy/out of town on the weekend it falls so I've only made it one year previously...
