I was thinking of this last night and while it’s not really this site’s target audience, I read recently that there’s a huge glut of Elvis Presley records and no one wants them anymore.
 
Apparently, before the vinyl renaissance his releases (along with The Beatles) were the de facto “Hey, I found these in the attic - it’s Elvis so they must be worth a million dollars!” type records, but between so many of his fans aging/dying off and the general abundance out there (his stuff was issued and repackaged and reissued thousands of times) no one cares anymore and any antique store you go to has a shelf of Elvis records no one is ever going to buy. 

I pretty much gave up on them as a band too until I saw them live earlier this year for free. They're greater than ever, and I love the shoegaze-y production of the most recent LP.

Really rare ones

I’ve found you can fit much more music onto a 12” than a 7”. I wonder why that is, since they’re both just as thick?

Wait until you listen to them and then you'll know what the sound quality is. 
 
Edit: Also read the notes on discogs. The comments say at least one of these are very quiet/not great presses.

Don’t follow this thread bc… 896 pages but holy heck I’m so happy for that Last of Us Reissue. That was litteraly like the record that killed me the most. On the second batch where it was an “infinite press” until a certain date I was literally waiting for my paycheck to come in and it came the day after. Always laughed at the aftermarket prices like the guy on Discogs selling just te sleeves, no records for $300.

He even uses content from their reviews as part of his opinion after "reporting back". They didn't mention the weak production so that can't be an issue anymore has to be the lack of originality
