Its not a debate. It was a question. I'm not debating with anyone (other than you) what my preference is.
 
So before this discussion of black vs. colored vinyl came up, all the other posts in this thread were specifically about Converge? You mean, they weren't about the 5 or so cover variants and which ones were available still and how many copies of each existed? That sounds more like a variant discussion than specifically "Converge." Its weird that people can discuss so many other aspects about vinyl and leave half-thought, misspelled one line posts about the variant quantity all over threads but your big problem is that me and a few other posters are thoughtfully discussing the merits or lack thereof of a certain kind of vinyl. What more do you think is going to be revealed in this thread about Converge as a whole or this release specifically that you are going to get upset to see that when you get a notification about this thread it happens to be about a topic that is not quite to your liking. There are many off-topic posts but the ones I'm involved in piss you off because they are about something that I happen to talk about a lot. I talk about it a lot because I'm asked about it a lot and some other posters agree with me and so we might form some kinship but even in the face of that potentially positive interaction you want the discussion to cease because it doesn't suit your need for some magical, enlightening bit of information that may come from you being notified about new activity in this thread.

Thanks for your input, however your generalizations on motive are incorrect. As a band we decided to make limited covers ALONG w/ different vinyl colors of a release. It was really that simple of a concept. Typically we release anywhere from 3-5 different colors of a record just to do it (always have), with the same cover usually. This was just an alternative way to approach that idea. Ironically, doing so was very expensive (commissioning art from folks and doing small runs of 500 of each double LP with this limited packaging). It actually cost us MUCH more to do this than a traditional record to manufacture.  All of us (including myself) collect records and cherish variants for the same reason bands make music, for the love of it. If maximum profit was the goal, then we are in the wrong game entirely. Thanks again.

Like a kid with veggies, I can accept that politics are a necessary evil to endure and swallow down from time to time... but I'd still prefer them not touching anything else on my plate.  I've never been big on modern political events seeping into my music, personally: I find that I prefer music to be something I can enjoy as an escape from whatever is trending on Facebook or being buzzed about at work.  But if there's anything good to come out of the hoopla that is Trump's intention to take office at the end of this week, it's something new from United Nations.
 
 
What's the teaser represent?  A single?  A contribution for a TRL-fueled Anti-Trump compilation?  A new EP?  A full length on the horizon?  The Next Four Years was 2-3 years ago – are we due for another official release?  It's all as murky and unclear as the nation's future.  But whatever it is, it'll probably be the only thing to look forward to reading about on Friday.

They're the worst.  Their prices with discount are less than what I'm able to buy at wholesale sometimes, but half the orders I've placed recently haven't been shipped, yet my card has been charged and they never respond to customer service e-mails.......all while sending 4+ flash sale e-mails a day.  PM can suck a dick.

No idea why Cory said that. Only vinyl that has shipped is the Euro stuff. 

The MD website updated at some point in the last 2-3 days says the album will be shipping the week of NOV 7th.
