I have definitely found my obsession with records has faded. I've been doing this a looong time. The insane prices and all of the noobs calling records vinylz and buying them just to hang on the wall, has soured me on the whole experience. I should probably stay off Reddit. There's been many times we've been travelling and my wife asks me if I want to go to the local record store and I just say "nah". I also like having extra money. The evil Spotify has changed things for me. I just stream shit and ask myself if I really need to spend $35+ to listen to it on vinyl. Many times the answer is "not really".
Off the top of my head I can't really come up with a record I was truly excited about when I got it. Man, I'm being a downer! Maybe I'll come up with something later. Oh wait, the signed National "test pressing" was super cool. 😜

Im not sure if that is it since this is a pre order. But I couldn't find any other record stores selling it. Maybe its stock they found somewhere?
 
Either way its the only thing of theirs I don't own on vinyl so I'm stoked it's finally available without spending too much money

I never received a shipping confirmation from merch connection, but I just checked my informed delivery and it's showing up on my dashboard with tracking # available. Should be here next week.

I have the sudden hankering to buy some garnier fructis shampoo. 

Boiling frog 101.  Baffling to me how many people on that sub have accepted $40 as the norm for a double LP.  Celebrating a $32 PPD single LP ain’t it… but the goalposts they set get way, way distorted by the $80 Alchemist POs they hype up, $50+ bootlegs, steep imports for region-exclusive variants, etc.  Super warped sense of what vinyl should actually cost, over there.

I'm stoked about these releases. Really the only MxPx stuff I need.
 
That said, folks on reddit were acting like these were phenomenally priced, and while they're decent for recent pricing. They're still over $25 for single LPs which...isn't great. I donno. Just wanted to vent about that a little. Amped to get these as I've been diving back into skatepunk type stuff lately.

I went to the San Francisco show last night, and felt like sharing some info in case it helps anyone.
 
It looks like there are two variants that exist (a smoke gray and a seafoam green). The merch guy just pulled records from the same box, so I couldn't tell if just one variant was on sale or both and you just got what you got. He said there was just one variant on sale, but he wasn't their official merch guy (just someone from the venue).
 
Vinyl sales were limited to one per person, and only a limited amount was on sale for the night. So at least there's hope that stock will remain for these west coast shows 🙂 I'm asking a few friends to let me know which variant they received to see if it's a mix or just one variant per night. I received the smoke gray.
 
Playing it tomorrow to see how it sounds!

This morning I saw someone on FB state that they spoke with someone in the band after last night's show, and they said they won't be selling copies at the fest. 

Finally. Will be nice to have. I’m in the school of thought that they didn’t come this far with it to only be show available. But, it is a pretty great way to move some tickets for the rest of the shows they have booked.

I have Nimrod on black and I'd pay for a cool variant but a) silver ain't it and b) I just want the original album. 

Wish bands could just rerelease music on vinyl from time to time as it was originally intended without 3 extra LPs with material I'd never spin and would be easy to just casually stream online. 
Pointless ontopic rant as I only need insomniac and kerplunk from the good albums on colored vinyl but will wait patiently. Maybe I'm asking too much though.
