In a few hours I'm going to my favorite "Next Day RSD" store:  Salzer's in Ventura California.   It's one of those huge stores that can't possibly be making any money - they must just like selling records.   Every year they over-order and months and months later they still have some fairly hot titles from the previous RSD.   Last December I went by and they had marked down all of the Taylor Swift colored vinyl RSD titles to $19.99 - they still had all three from earlier RSD's in stock. 

Just talked to Easy Street Records (easystreetonline.com) in West Seattle. They said they planned to have their leftovers up by now, but they can't get in touch with their web guy(?!). They hope to have theirs up in the next hour or so. He said they are out of Robyn, Devo, etc. Said most of what they have is the seeds and stems (my words there), but he said they do of course have some Pearl Jam copies left. 

Kanine is putting up their leftovers.  Saw depreciation guild up for a moment.

The fan reviews on that Bingo Hand Job LP are terrible.  Everyone is saying it was the only bad record they bought yesterday.  They say that the original bootleg-quality tapes were used without sound improvement or editing.

I watch EBay every year rather than go out and stand in line.    FYI there is much much less frenzied buying there this year.   Ebay limited the amount of pre-sales they allowed.
 
Last year there were many titles selling for $100+ at this hour of RSD.   Today there are only a handful (Devo Box, Jerry Garcia, Skip Spence).   Lost of $50 records but very little at high high prices.

Demos and live records sound pretty sweet to me.

So this is out in June. $150 from Sigur Ros. Gonna wait to see if it pops up elsewhere.

"It’s difficult to pick which detail I should divulge first, but I will begin by announcing “The Acts”, a comprehensive collection of my band, The Dear Hunter’s record series of the same name. 
I’ve wanted to compile these records into a single collection since the release of Act V, but there was one missing link, which leads to the next part of the puzzle. 
At the time of recording Acts IV and V, I had the privilege to work with Conductor David Moeshler and his Awesöme Orchestra. Prior to our initial recording, I was introduced to the work of the composer Brian Adam McCune, who also works with David as an orchestrator and arranger for the various collaborations and musical experiments of AÖ. 
Brian and I developed an immediate musical kinship, and in discussing the forthcoming recordings, I told him the hope I had of focusing the orchestration/arrangement on a dual purpose—both as a featured element of our albums, and as an isolated listening experience.

This meant writing and arrangement elements that would not be used at the time of Act IV/V’s release—the result of which is “The Fox & the Hunt”. At roughly 57 minutes long, “The Fox & the Hunt” holds a strong tether to its parent pieces, but is meant to be experienced on its own, and we are so excited to share it with you as part of this comprehensive collection. 
While “The Fox & the Hunt” is meant to serve a dual purpose, it was vital that we made this collection feel cohesive- and I am so excited to say we have enlisted the incredibly artistry of Nicky Barkla, who painted the covers of Acts IV and V.

While the visual side of this musical story has always been a top priority, Nicky’s work represents a different level of inspired creation that was vital to incorporate in the albums which predates her involvement, and so, she has created 3 new covers for Acts I-III, building upon the inspired intrigue and beauty she brought to Acts IV and V.

With that, the collection finally feels complete, and of a singular identity. I look back on these 5 albums in disbelief of the journey I have taken- and it has been due, in no small part, to the loving ear you have all lent to this music, and my band."

They heard the complaints and, within a few hours, they coordinated a 2nd pre-sale through a different provider and a lot more people were able to get tickets. The initial sale was a cluster but the response and remedy was immediate and A+. IMO, the CT club team have done a great job of listening to their members and providing a good service for their $50.

I'm seeing a few pre-orders at Amazon Italy for some RSD stuff.   Prices seem quite reasonable to me on SOME of the titles.

Next reissue wave incoming 3rd May:
 
3rd May 2019 sees the start of Stereolab's 7 album reissue campaign when 1993's 'Transient Random Noise-Bursts With Announcements' and 1994's 'Mars Audiac Quintet' will be the first albums reissued, via Warp Records and Duophonic UHF Disks, as expanded and re-mastered editions on vinyl, compact disk and digital. Each album has been re-mastered from the original 1/2" tapes by Bo Kondren at Calyx Mastering and overseen by Tim Gane. Bonus material will include alternate takes, 4 track demos and unreleased mixes.
 
The initial vinyl editions will be pressed onto triple clear numbered vinyl (2500 copies) with a poster / insert containing sleeve notes by Tim. They will also include a lottery style scratch card - all winners will receive a limited edition 12" EP 

The band have also produced a super limited edition of 500 clear vinyl copies and 250 compact disks - each will have a numbered obi band made from 2" 24 track Stereolab master tape (via stereolab store only).
