    Camp out the night before.
Complain about how cold it is.
Share stories about the flippers who brought their entire extended family to get multiple copies of rare releases.
Bitch about how you were fifth in line and there was only one copy of the one release you really wanted and the kid that was fourth in line got it even though he must have been in diapers when it was originally released and you've been a fan since 1997.
Buy a half dozen records you really didn't need or want and that you can get for half the price a month down the road when the same store you camped out at is blowing out old RSD inventory.
Spend 10x the retail amount for that one release you missed, most likely buying it on eBay from that same little brat that was ahead of you in line.
Tell the board this is the last time you wake up early for Record Store Day.
Do it all over again the following month.

I'm happy you all are happy. This is one of those records that belongs to the digitalcollective part of my collection. I can't see myself ever actually spinning this after the first time. NOFX has fallen too far down for me these days.

Colored standalone sold out at KRM EU now.
When I watched and listened to it I was pretty disappointed how they mixed and handled the audio. Too many voice overdubs and post-production. The overdubs become very obvious when you compare the fan videos filmed at that event to the official video. To my ears it completely lost any "live feeling" due to the massive post-production (which is hard to capture on a recording anyway). I have the same complaints with each release of the Live in a Dive series which suffer from that, too.
Pretty happy I did not order this. Although I stay curious about Linewleum on side B.

Little Elephant is probably the best case scenario when it comes to lathes. They have YouTube versions of all the performances and I would say the vinyl is slightly better than those. I have the TWIABP and Modern Baseball lathes from them and say they are pretty good.

    Sooooo...let me understand this.

Dude walks in here and gives his honest & lengthy opinion & review of the song as a fan of the band, and people are giving him shit & calling him pretentious?!?!

Get the fuck out of here with that shitty attitude. He’s a fan who loves the band & expressed his appreciation.  If you don’t like it, take your toxic bashing somewhere else.

I just want a simple, standard gram (because its wasteful and serves no additional purpose), cleanly and carefully pressed black vinyl, impeccably mastered (as close to AAA as possible), normal weight basic gatefold, quality printed jacket 2xLP of everything. No Pic disc. No incorporated television. No lenticular cover (though I would forgive it if they worked it into an Aenima reissue). No wifi router. No nothing crazy. Just solid, true to format vinyl pressing that excels at reproducing the stereo master as beautifully as possible when the fuckin' needle touches down and drags through the basic ass grooves of the godforsaken LP. Can I get an Amen or just a plain old delivery on this?

Lol don't be an idiot. You have to watch your vinyl spin through a 4" display while listening to the output processed through an iphone mic fed into a 2 watt speaker.

Thank you for this! I knew they had it posted online but I figured it was gone for good. I appreciate this.
This turned out to be my favorite track on the album and I was irritated I didn’t have any info on it.

From the runout information I just found on Discogs this was pressed at Rainbo Pressing. I hope everybody will receive a decent pressing quality. Rainbo is infamous for subpar pressings unfortunately.
I also noticed there is a barcode printed on the back. Just speculating here but could it indicate a wider commercial release at some point in the future? Why would they need it for an exclusive self-distributed release? On the other hand their 2017 pressings had a printed barcode as well. Any thoughts on that?

Iggy_Pilot reacted to AlexH. in Discogs Charging US Sales Tax, Beginning July 1st
So it seems a few weeks in that this was a bit of an overblown concern, assuming you don't have an ideological opposition to sales tax in the first place 😜. It's actually not that complicated.

If you are a buyer, either:
you live in a state where Discogs is an MPF (https://support.discogs.com/hc/en-us/articles/360024123194#h_92f3b7e3-8346-4582-82a7-ec8117930651) in which case Discogs automatically charges you sales tax, or you live in a non-MPF state, in which case it's up to the seller to account for sales tax if they meet your state's economic nexus threshold (see below) or if they live in the same state as you (also see below) For sellers:
Your buyers in MPF states automatically pay sales tax, and Discogs automatically collects it. For non-MPF states, if you don't meet a specific state's economic nexus threshold, which means you do X amount of business in the state (at least $100,000 & 100 transactions for all states that have sales tax), you are not legally required to collect sales tax. This most likely covers everyone on VC. If you're doing that much in Discogs sales to one state, you probably have an accountant who has already explained this to you. The exception is your home state. According to Discogs, there are usually no thresholds for "resident sellers" since you're effectively the same as a brick and mortar business at that point. This is the one annoying one, since Discogs also says you technically have to register your "business" and file tax returns and all that. That seems to be on the honor system for now, since you have to go in and manually check the box for your state in your seller settings, so I'm leaving it be for now. If you really want to stay off the grid, you can always arrange an in-person meetup.

Picked up the WEEZER "Dusty Gems" release, already opened, at a used record store in LA this weekend.  Guess one slipped out into the wild early.  Here's a closer look for those interested.  Sound quality of the pressing is alright; nothing to write home about. But these are all demos (essentially) anyways.

Would just like to point out that it’s almost December and Kevin Shields said a new MBV album would “100%” be out in 2018. I assume it will be out soon then, because if I can’t trust Kevin Shields to finish something on time...well then I don’t know WHO to trust.
