  1. Glad their re-issuing Only Revolutions even if it is by far my least favourite album. Might cop a re-issue so my original can stay in the good condition it's currently in. What I'd really like to see is them issue "Missing Pieces" (B-side compilation of Puzzle era b-sides available as a download only in the US) on vinyl but after 14th Floor/Warner Bros were such dicks about releasing Puzzle as an RSD exclusive I doubt we'll ever see them do that. I got all the 7"s from that era anyway but there were some tasty B-sides for that era. I would also kill for a repress of Lonely Revolutions as the £300-£400 price tag on the vinyl is just unjustifiable without a lottery win.
  2. Re-watching The Wire in its entirety, up to Season 3 at the moment.
  3. I got my shipping notification yesterday and to be honest I kind of forgot I had this on order. Probably be a while before I get mine simply because I ordered direct from the band and it's an international order.
  4. I'd definitely be up for The Second Wave. It's the Khoma album I go back to the most.
  5. Not sure if there are any Caïna fans anywhere on this site but pre-orders for their new album Christ Clad In White Phospherous went live yesterday over at apocalyptic witchcraft. Available on Gold vinyl, Cassette or digi-pack CD. I am really looking forward to it. http://apocalypticwitchcraft.bigcartel.com/product/caina-christ-clad-in-white-phosphorus-limited-edition-gold-vinyl
  6. Top Shelf records are doing a 10th anniversary 10 album bundle. 10 albums and a couple of bonuses for $100 seems like a pretty good deal to me, figured some of you guys and girls might be interested as well. http://www.topshelfrecords.com/products/572557-10-year-10-albums-bundle?utm_content=buffer431bd&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer
  7. Also I'm in the UK so for you US folks it might be a little longer coming.
  8. Just came home to my Fall Of Hearts art book and listened to the album straight through twice (with all the extra tracks it runs to over an hour and twenty minutes). Some pretty technical guitar work throughout, I'd call it an improvement on Dead End Kings as far as the album goes. As far as the art book goes it's a little light on art unlike the previous album's equivalent with just murky photographs, a portrait of each band member and the lyrics. Still quite a nice package overall.
  9. Passing as I'm sticking to my original conviction of not getting drawn into collecting Converge, even though I'm tempted as hell. It's just not viable to be buying at the rate I have been lately.
  10. Yeah I work in a college with quite a large contingent of students with complex psychological needs and very difficult living situations as we are in the second poorest borough of London. Dying alone and getting eaten by a selection of cats I will have accrued to fill the void seems legitimately less horrifying than being in charge of a humans life. Still more power to those who have the courage to do it.
  11. I'm enjoying it so far only about 70-80 pages in. I'm one of those guys who refuses to quit a book until I've finished it even if it's really dire so I'm sure I'll make it to the end. I doubt I'll get round to buying any of the authors other works as I work in a library and avoid spending money on books* where possible (*Exceptions made for Irvine Welsh). Still as someone who really is against the idea of having kids this is throwing up some scary ass parallels even from my male perspective.
  12. I find the Hot Topic thread entertaining, no threads I actively root against but I do find myself reading stuff that I'm not remotely interested in just to pass the time.
  13. Taking a break from J.G. Ballard's collected short stories volume two with We Need To Talk About Kevin. Friend recommended it, not bad so far.
  14. Well that is flat out disgusting. I recognise that VC as a whole makes for a useful resource to the community it serves whilst simultaneously being a great resource for those who seek solely to profiteer but damn that is just too brutal.
  15. Seeing Peter Murphy(of Bauhaus) on Wednesday. Really looking forward to it.
  16. I've been waiting for nearly a year since Thom first announced it. They submitted it to the pressing plant before Christmas but thanks to record store day it's been majorly delayed. Got my shipping notification today. Also not yet fully confirmed in terms of scheduling but probably this year Thom is planning a cd compilation of rare tracks and ep material through Flenser.
  17. Bumping because this Planning For Burial split is not a pre-order as stated on the website, they are already sending these out. Tracks will stream on friday.
  18. I had that too this month, I bought a ticket to Jucifer and Shellac for the same evening.
  19. Went to An Evening With Mark Lanegan at Union Chapel last week, seriously fantastic show he even threw in some Screaming Trees. This weekend I have Oathbreaker at Camden Underworld who will probably be playing some stuff from the new record that is on its way. Finishing up the month with Unsane & Shellac and then it's a long hibernation until the festival season comes to an end.
  20. I don't think there has been a re-issue I was just curious if I'd missed something. That's a great find specially if you got it for half the price of the average discogs listing.
