Love the sentiment, N8, but there’s just way too many people in the vinyl community without any backbone – it would be a pipe-dream to pull off.  AFI could repress STS and force you to accept a disclaimer upon checkout that states for every 1 copy sold, 1 kitten would be legitimately drowned.  And it’d still sell out.

I ordered mine directly from the Tool website. Arrived in a nice and sturdy cardboard mailer.  Triple gatefold jacket was mint.  Record C/D is warped some but played flawlessly.

Twatay keeping me in check with that reaction, my bad.  Got my prog threads mixed up.
I have little to contribute to this discussion other than admitting that I very much strive to not order from Amazon when I can help it, but did so for this 5LP set.  (And was pleased to see it arrive with adequate package and care.)

They totally oversold the /199. Relapse replied to me asking me to send the Cloudy back. Then emailed me after they received it to tell me - they have no more of the /199. So now I have NO record. Fuck Relapse for this.

I gotta' tip my hat to whoever is cranking out those AFI boots and reducing them to 1 LP, now.  They've effectively cut down their vinyl costs and materials by half, while still appealing to the overwhelming majority of bootleg buyers who are fixated on simply having the record on their shelf, and maybe snapping a pic for social media.  Between that, the egregious MSRP that's rationalized because "it's better than OG prices bro", and the illusion of limited quantities or timed drops – everyone feels good about getting in on those, right? – they're actually pretty big-brain and I can't even criticize them for it.

Duff McKagan should've helped him. Travesty.
