DJ Quik
Vault exclusive will have these same features. Can't wait to get blue white variant in the mail! How is it going to have that hologram on colored vinyl?Because I don't see how that's possible on anything but black

Time after time he's just full of a million super great ideas from a marketing standpoint....but I just can't get behind the music! this. the acoustic/electric intros make me so excited! toomanyrecords
Didn't dig blunderbuss but I love The White Stripes. Didn't dig Raconteurs but I like the new single. As long as Amoeba doesn't charge more than 25 in store I'll grab one when it hits retail.
IanRees
Guess I'm the only one who thinks this is so so annoying and dumb. I'm pretty sick of all the 3rd man gimmicky bullshit. It's a shame cause I actually like his music. unknown pleasures, fuckinandsuckinandtouchin, birdturbo and 5 others

Domiendr
The only thing I would really want to see staying of these gimmicks is the hologram. None of these are really harmful just a little overkill in my eyes and as it's only 20$ (eu is steeper) I don't see any point in really hating it. Wrangl3r
I'm pretty sure you can listen to it normally, just one sued you drop the needle inside Correct, according to the video anyway! This looks awesome and I'm keen to see how the record sounds. I liked blunderbuss, so I'm pretty keen to hear how this sounds.
IanRees
I'm pretty sure you can listen to it normally, just one sued you drop the needle inside I think what bugs me the most is the hidden tracks under the labels - soooooo no one will ever hear them, that's super cool. The 3 different speeds is a close 2nd. thesewoodenideas, unknown pleasures, Requiescat and 2 others
AlexH.
Pretty excited to watch all the Youtube videos of Jack White fanboys making videos about how playing the secret songs ruined the needles on their Third Man Crosleys. The guy makes good music and keeps it in print though, he can put it out on laserdisc for all I care. Requiescat
Kinda dig the hologram idea but the rest of the stuff doesn't do much for me especially the multiple play speeds of the record. Still not a bad deal for the price. Personally, I think it's extremely "gimmicky" but I guess that's part of the point. stl_ben

unknown pleasures
I think the logical next step for Third Man is to release a record with a built in arm/needle that plays itself. Where else can you go from here? chipfondoo

IanRees
Alright, I just actually watched the video so i retract some of my statements since it's not as dumb as the description sounded
IanRees
You can hear them. Played it on the videoi actually hadn't watched the video yet, but now I see it. Wonder how much that will jack up needles.
HadItUpToHere
Already pre-ordered it through the Vault so I'm getting it. I don't hate the gimmicks. Some of them are cool. But I do wish they didn't tell us and left it for us to figure out ourselves. It'd be really fun
elgato48
Yeah I can imagine it happening but I don't think the hidden tracks is something that will get constant play for that reason.

CosmicFade
Yeah, Some of the stuff like the hologram, electric/acoustic intro and the endless loop are really cool. The other stuff is a neat thought, but not really that practical. I wouldn't want to ruin my needle and I can't play 78 with my turntable.
