Top 3 Albums - Do you own 'em?

Do you own your favourite albums on vinyl? For some people I guess it's not a possibility, but I'm just interested whether you had favourite albums that were then bought by you on vinyl, or whether they became your favourites after you'd already bought the LP. I put it down to top 3 in the title but go crazy if you like.

 

My favourite album of my youth was The Downward Spiral by NIN. I have the (average) Back on Black reissue. Not the picture disc. It sounds fine, so I like it, but I don't think I'd ever find the original press anywhere (although that said I found the original press of Pretty Hate Machine in a record store in London about ten years ago).

I own a good majority of my favorite records on vinyl, thankfully. Idk which I would put as my top 3, though.

 

1. Clarity - Jimmy Eat World

 

That's all I can say with confidence lol.

Includes Pink Floyd, Led Zep, Who, Hendri, Sabbath, etc.

 

My favorite albums also include The Downward Spiral (which I thankfully got an original press of), Badmotorfinger, Among The Living, Stranger Than Fiction, 

 

The only ones I don't have is Tool-AEnima, and Queens of the Stone Age - Songs For The Deaf.

My top 3 are:

 

1) On the Impossible Past by the Menzingers.  This album became my favorite after seeing the band live and buying the LP

 

2) Big Choice by Face to Face.  I have loved this album since it was released and finally scored a copy on wax last year.  

 

3) Nevermind by Nirvana.  I have loved this album since it dropped and bought it on wax when I lived in Korea a few years ago.

OK Computer - Got the Capitol re-issue.

 

Ænima - Got the better of the two bootlegs. No original press.

 

Loveless - Wish I had it, but nope. Might pick up the bootleg.

I have my favorite album on vinyl after much saving and now it's being repressed so I'm getting another copy. I don't own duplicates but in this situation I will because it killed me to see it marked up so high on eBay and I can't go through that again.

I'm not sure of my top 3 specific albums, but I own New Order - Substance 1987, Mars Volta - De-Loused and Nas - Illmatic, which would easily be in the top 5. I guess 2 important records I'd love to own are Built to Spill - There's Nothing Wrong with Love and Bloc Party's Silent Alarm but these are some white whales.
