kleraudio
Hey guys, Just looking for a recommendation of somewhere that will press three copies of my album (one for each member)? Everywhere I've seen needs a bulk order. It'll be six discs total. Thanks in advance!
davey
Kind of nowhere. It's not worth it to the pressing plants and it's majorly cost prohibitive for whoever the client is due to production costs.

cambionic
You can get a lathe-cut, but that's about it for your options.
Satan
6 total. Go through the whole cost process of getting tests done and tell us how your ass feels after. Duff

My buddy does lathe cuts, real good work too. http://www.audiogeography.com/ If you're looking to press vinyl, even if it was say like 5 copies, it would cost you hundreds simply for lacquers/stampers. jack8urt0n
overdue
Yeah, definitely lathe cuts for that short of a run. There's a few options for that. Haven't used any personally, but have heard good things: http://www.lathecuts.com http://www.tangibleformats.com/ http://meeprecords.com/
planetrakis
Lathe cuts have their draw backs, its sound quality is greatly reduced with each spin.
nancy_raygun
You definitely want to go with lathe cuts, they won't be as durable so don't play them all the time, but the alternative is shelling out hundreds. I've used Tangible Formats.. they were easy to work with and the price wasn't too astronomical. I'd recommend them.
Shinji
Lathe cuts sounds very, very bad, it's honestly not even worth it unless you must have a physical version of the album for aesthetic purposes. I learned the hard way, thankfully I only ordered 20, whereas I've seen some be made hundreds.

Fowty Dollaz
Let us know what your album sounds like. Maybe you'll be able to get a strong enough backing to press a few hundred and then sell them for a small "profit" that could be used to help your band grow. Share the music with the world! Out of Breath Records
Heads up, when you're playing a lathe, you need a lot more weight on the needle then usual. But once you get it, you're golden.
Jollyronnie
You could get acetates made for about $75 each. They don't last forever and they have a really strong smell. We know you have a choice when searching for information, we would like to thank you for choosing VC. entendu and Klefki
kurtz
Lots of bad advice in this thread. Just burn your bandmates a couple cds. Shelby and Klefki

fitterhappier
Unless you're named Jesse and your bandmates are Vincent, Garrett and Brian, they will not want your business Most places won't do small orders like that. Like others have mentioned, there are other alternatives. You can always go DIY too.

74R
Ignore everyone else's advice. Pay the 500 bucks or whatever it costs to get only 4 copies pressed on some whacky color than flip the shit out of them on eBay. You'll make your money back in no time!
