radiatorhums
My love for Chino outweighs my dislike for Lamb of God.
Kanellos
Chino just posted this cryptic picture. Not sure what this is. Im intrigued though.
daegor
I thought it was pretty obvious, Deftones is covering a Morrissey song from 1980
GhostTrail
I thought it was pretty obvious, Deftones is covering a Morrissey song from 1980 I first thought the same thing...except Morrissey's solo career didn't begin until like 1988 and The Smiths didn't start until 1982. Kanellos
Look at the top right date. Is this Eros being mixed? Chi's accident was in 2008 which coincides with Eros. I first thought the same thing...except Morrissey's solo career didn't begin until like 1988 and The Smiths didn't start until 1982. Yea basically this. Chi did say the new album was influenced by Morrissey. Edit: http://www.megawattrecording.com/history/ This says Megawatt was founded in 79'. So the 1980 date could just be the system. I thought this was a date at first too, but I think it's actually a running time. 1 hour, 3 minutes, 19.08 seconds. Perhaps just a screenshot of the system info detailing the album recording? Perhaps just a screenshot of the system info detailing the album recording? Could be. That makes more sense. The new album has 16 tracks. Im thinking this is a sign that its done being mixed with some kind of Morriessy collab.
Kanellos
Looks like they're still working on the mix while on tour. There will be a total of 20 tracks. http://diffuser.fm/deftones-interview-2015/
Kurazz
That's more Deftones than I would have liked, but I'll take it. dirac
dirac
20 songs is a lot! But would never turn down more Deftones.
ejc625
Probably be a few filler tracks but that's okay.
thesecrets0308
Went to the Deftones/Incubus show in Cincinnati this past Saturday. Chino wore a Morrissey t-shirt. I was also digging the big Eazy-E sticker on his guitar. Great show, was praying to hear at least 1 new song, but didn't happen. Can't wait for the new album. Cannot wait. Will be my fourth time seeing the tones but first for Incubus.
[Banned User]
I'm seeing them this Friday. But it's not part of their amphitheater tour with Incubus. It's just them at a smaller venue.

Incubus put on a great show too. I haven't been able to absorb anything past Light Grenades so there was a few songs I wasn't familiar with but even those were on point. The highlight for me, of course, being an Incubus fan from way back, was the one and only song they did from S.C.I.E.N.C.E. which was Vitamin. The instrumental in the middle of the song was incredible.

I can't wait to see the tones again soon, but really pumped for this album.
thesecrets0308
Favorite Incubus song. It's way up there for me as well. So I took that classic with a smile.
mrewest
Saw Deftones last night (just them, no Incubus) & it was a top 10 show all time. He hit the extreme high note wails in Knife Prty. Unreal.
dapeebs
I really wanna go see Deftones, but I have yet to listen to Incubus. Are they worth seeing live and how long is their set? They play first?

I can't wait to see the tones again soon, but really pumped for this album. For me, Deftones is one of the only bands that I just KNOW will put out another good-from-start-to-finish album every time. Their sound is just so cohesive to me. It never gets old or boring for me. There isn't a Deftones song that I don't like. And honestly, I don't think I can say that about any other band. psus2h

thesecrets0308
Those were my notes I wrote down. Yeah, I'm lame. But I know my memory will fail me one day and I want to be able to have something to remember the shows I see. Saw Deftones last night (just them, no Incubus) & it was a top 10 show all time. thesecrets0308
All due respect to Chi (RIP). The bassist killed the backing vocals. I think I read that he was the lead singer of some other band before joining up with Deftones? Did he sing Maynard's parts on Passenger?
