They're sound quality is not superior so it's more of a subjective thing @GeekToyPorn I guess you're not much of a music fan then. Vinyl sales have gone up the last couple years. Yes, in this rare instance you can buy the 24bit / 192khz (or 24bit/44.1khz) lossless files that are the source for the records. I really wish this was more common, so if you miss out on a limited pressing, get a crap pressing, etc. Or are like me and just want the best sound possible...
