rkfoster8
Caps won 6-2. Good to see Hendricks notch a hatty and Semin get some assists. I'm anxious to see how the 3rd line center battle will play out. Marcus Johansson, Mathieu Perreault and Cody Eakin both had good games. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
You got tickets to the game?Is it on TV anywhere? no and no. i posted that before i found out that it wasnt going to be on FSN. for some reason, Pirates baseball is more important than Penguins preseason. The Oilers young guys are looking really, really good in this game. Paajarvi especially. When he fills out he's gonna be a handful.
thesack18
my Wild got pumped 5-1 by the Blues. Hope they improve before they flight out to Helsinki. Theyd want to put in a good performance there. 99 euros per ticket, i want some value for money.
kgry
Anyone want NHL 10 for ps3? Sell pretty damn cheap! I just picked up NHL 11. Pretty nice so far. Controls are a little hard to get sued to.

shenanigans
Just watched the first preseason game at Wells Fargo Center on NHL Network US. I think I enjoyed the last game at Wauchovia Center a bit more....But hey, the Flyers won in the shootout, so good for them. Still miss when it was the FU Center

Controls are a little hard to get sued to. Controls took me a few games, but I'm ok w/ them now. I've only played Hockey Ultimate Team so far. I love the thrill of opening a pack of cards and managing my team that way. It's like being a kid again. It's tough to field a good team though. I started with the new controls, got pissed and went to classic controls. Now I'm back to the new controls and I find it easier to do things. There's a list of bugs that still need fixing on the EA board for the game. It is cool you can start out in the minors but I don't have the patience for that, lol. One thing I find cool but frustrating is making your guy and putting him on a pro team as a rookie. For your shift off ice you basically watch from the bench. It's realistic but boring. mcm1610
As far as controls, are they different than 10? I have really gotten the hang of those controls and can do a solid job of weaving through players towards the slot for scoring chances. kgry
I never played 10. On 11 there really is no fast skate button. There is but it doesn't do anything and I find it hard to weave in and out of players.
mcm1610
There isn't a fast-skate button on ten either unless you push the puck ahead with... r1? maybe. That's fairly realistic anyway.

For your shift off ice you basically watch from the bench. It's realistic but boring. You actually play that way? What's the point aside from more realistic scoring (though with 5 minute periods, it's still unrealistic)? You should just turn off line changes and your guy will play the entire game. That's how it works when you play online anyway.
kgry
Yeah but doesn't your guy get tired from being on the ice every shift? To be honest I've been just playing season mode and not bothering with the online stuff.
Snaggle Von Swift
When you make the top forward line, you play half the period as your shift (on 5 minute periods) and if you're good you get a decent amount of points to grow your player and increase stamina/endurance. Snaggle Von Swift
also, Ian Laperriere is out indefinitely with post-concussion syndrome (from those blocked shots during last season's playoffs), as much as I love him and respect him, pretty foolish to hide it and come back for the finals and then play a preseason game. I really hope it's not as serious as it definitely could be.

I think he will. once he signed that contract he started actually producing last year. being in limbo about contracts can really mess with a player in any sport, no matter how much they deny it.
