natealcatraz
fuck. i kind of want it now just in case but since there will be a lockout, it will be pointless. i dont even remember if i actually ordered it. i'm trying to go through my emails and checking the ducks' site. bizarospeak
Anyone else going out to Atlantic City for the hurricane sandy charity game next week? I'm pretty sure this will the the only chance I have to see hockey this year.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
players made concessions on HRR, offering a % instead of Guarunteed amount from league, closed gap in financial differenecs from $1 billion down to $189 million. league response expected around 1 PM today. BuzzersonKillwell
Seems like good news! Hopefully the league will budge a little as well. Clearly the players are moving for the sake of some type of season. If the owners just get more greedy here. Well, fuck them. EDIT: Less optimistic after reading this: http://mobile.usnews.com/news/sports/articles/2012/11/22/no-thanks-nhl-lockout-talks-break-off-again

IanRees
NHL just announced games through Dec 14th and the All Star Game are cancelled http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=646209
mcm1610
I know a lot of people in this area who have been watching CHL / OHL / QMJHL games and loving the intensity the kids play with. I love living in a true hockey town where people know where to find good hockey. I might head up to watch Niagara play if I ever can fit it in my schedule. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
FMCS has been called in to help with the NHL/PA negotiations! Thats a pretty huge step in terms of realizing that you need help to save the season.
natealcatraz
I think if I had to start praying again (non-practicing Catholic of 5 years here) it would be to end this lockout.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
fed mediators were used in the last NHL lockout, but I think that after being apart of both the recent NFL and NBA lockouts, they hopefully will be able to help this time. fingers crossed. sometimes having a 3rd party involved offering their opinion can help one side see/concede to the other. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
also, to point out, last NHL lockout the FMCS was brought in Feb 5th, and the season was lost 3 days later. good thing is that they at least brought them in 2 1/2 months earlier than the last lockout... blanchardoswald
Honestly, this is probably the best move they could have made. Both sides seriosuly need to be open and listen to the mediator. It's good that there will FINALLY be an objective (hopefully) voice in all of this nonsense.
BuzzersonKillwell
This seems like a good development. Frankly, they should be at the table anyway. An objective third party should help.

IanRees
Yesterday was a sad day for Kings fans. Our PA announcer of 22 years, David Courtney, passed away. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-puck-daddy/david-courtney-los-angeles-kings-pa-announcer-dies-213212510--nhl.html It will be weird going to Kings games and not hearing his voice, even sadder to not hear him announcing the raising of the banner thanks to this stupid fucking lockout.
