BuzzersonKillwell
Have they listed any store front exclusives this year? I assume they'll have something.
timsimmons
You guys, I got cool stuff! Went both days in Milwaukee, totally worth waiting in line. I ended up hours before anybody lined up since I had both days off and nothing to do, so I just got coffee and walked around the city all day. The lines got crazy about an hour before they opened each day, upwards of 200 people at one point. The girl and guy running the shop were obviously super nice, and I ended up giving them each a copy of a Butterfly Puke Records release, haha. All in all, an awesome experience and definitely worth it if they come through your town. They've never been anywhere near me before, so hopefully this happens again! Thats cool. Glad the Milwaukee sales worked out for you. Shinji
stl_ben
Have they listed any store front exclusives this year? I assume they'll have something.exclusive merch and etc,,,,,but no exclusive vinyl yet.
jaxvinyl
Apparently for whatever reason, at the last minute this is no longer an exclusive to ThirdMan's Record Store. People posting screenshots of emails going out that direct stores to order these for their own shops... MSRP is $20. Was it confirmed to be the RSD 10"? Or the eventual 7" they plan on releasing? timsimmons
Didn't they say remastered and cleaned up 7" in the fall?
clerk3745
So I was in Nashville this past weekend and checked out the store. Really fun and cool, but also small and intimate like most record stores. But after seeing the Amazonian Lights set behind the counter I am really considering a vault subscription. Mars
After many years of performing in a multitude of configurations, Jack White is announcing that he will be taking a break from performing live for a long period of time. To cap off the Lazaretto world tour, and following his pair of headlining performances at Coachella, Jack will embark on a short acoustic tour of the only five states left in the U.S. that he has yet to play. The states these shows are occurring in will be unannounced until the day of each performance. Joining Jack on his jaunt across these locations will be musicians making up an acoustic quartet, including Fats Kaplin, Lillie Mae Rische and Dominic Davis. The shows will be totally acoustic and amplified only with ribbon microphones to the audience as well. These shows will be the very first totally acoustic full concerts Jack has ever done. Each special acoustic performance will be announced day of show at 8am local time. Tickets for these engagements are priced at $3 per ticket and will be limited to one ticket per person. All tickets will be sold at the venue door starting at 12pm local time on the day of the show – first come, first served and cash only. Have no fear, Vault members. We would not leave your fate to... well... fate. We will announce show details to you in confidence 1 hour before the general announcement the morning of each show, at 7am local time. In each of the states we visit, we will also set aside 1 ticket for every Vault member whose address on file is within said state. Vault members in each particular state will have up until 1 hour before doors open at each venue to claim their $3 ticket with a photo I.D. and cash. If the ticket goes unclaimed, it will be released to the line. This timing is strict, our perception of state lines is strict, and the one-per-person rule is strict. Don't go changing your address now in preparation. We know where you really live, and it will be obvious to us if you just happen to be moving across the country or over the state line upon this announcement going live. We can't wait to see you next week...
dreamover
Bummed. I was really hoping for a dead weather tour in the near future.
BuzzersonKillwell
I thought this might be my chance, but I think he may have played in Rutland, VT. Anyone know what the 5 states are?
allenh
I expect I'll be on holiday touring round the US when he plays these shows but I'll probably miss them all and some I bet by minutes. At least I got to see him in London a little while ago.
natenomm
Idaho, Wyoming, Alaska, Maine, North Dakota? *A complete guess not based on any actual research on my part.
gmoney
Idaho, North Dakota, South Dakota, Arkansas, New Hampshire, and Wyoming are six I'm not sure about.
BuzzersonKillwell
I was wrong about Rutland. Not saying he hasn't played Vermont. But I was wrong about the show I was thinking of.
fondfarewell
Arkansas Iowa New Hampshire Vermont West Virginia I think.
stl_ben
I have it narrowed down to Alaska, Idaho, Iowa, WY, ND, SD, VT, and NH. If you can eliminate any of those for sure then please post the date of the show in that state.
fondfarewell
This includes Racs, WS, DW...right?
stl_ben
This includes Racs, WS, DW...right? Correct all bands. I can not find tour lists of his earlier bands (The Go and Goober and the Peas....so that may eliminate some if I can find them)
fondfarewell
Did you see Arkansas? I guess there was an Alaska date at some point that was cancelled. I think Iowa, New Hampshire and Vermont are definitely three. Alaska likely fourth.
stl_ben
He played Arkansas on Sep 11, 2001 Alaska, Idaho, Iowa, WY, ND, SD, VT, and NH These are the only states I do not have firm dates on for shows.
theshredhi
Seeing Jack White in Hawaii tomorrow, this must be why he decided to play here in between Coachella dates. White Stripes were supposed to play here in 2007, but cancelled cause of Meg's exhaustion or something.
BuzzersonKillwell
Grant says VT in 2011, so maybe he can firm it up for you. Internet says the played New Hampshire on 8/17/2001 - Hanover, New Hampshire, Panarchy It also has a 2001 tour date for the White Stripes at Bennington College which would probably actually be a VT date. My guess is ID, WY, ND, SD, AK
gmoney
Grant says VT in 2011, so maybe he can firm it up for you. Someone said that on Reddit, but I think its wrong. However I am 99% certain that Jack has played there. When Meg and Jack made it their plan to play every state, Vermont wasn't on the list of things left (same with New Hampshire). I think the five are: Idaho, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming and Alaska
psus2h
Couldn't recall a DC show but after digging I found a Racentours concert in it's entirety from the 9:30 Club. Enjoy! http://www.npr.org/2008/05/27/90769922/the-raconteurs-in-concert
stl_ben
I think the five are: Idaho, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming and Alaska Do you have dates for Iowa, VT, or NH? Those are the three I figured are off the list, but can't find anything for sure.
Mathyou99
I was surprised to find out he played in Kansas. Must have been awhile ago? I know he has come through KC but usually that's on the Missouri side of the border.
