Guest
That's much better than what I saw! Yeah, that original one was hideous. It did look like the side of a barn.

DecayToDeath
I'm kinda partial to them, maybe because I had an ATPL120 for so long. I agree they are not the best looking tables out there though. I'm an LP120 user and I love it...but what's the difference between that and the one pictured above (besides probably the default cart)? GreatGreenOne77
Meat slicer is what I thought of. I was going to say I stick with whomever first said it looked like a deli slicer!
Family Friendly Rap God
Can't lie. I've always wanted a 1200. Might bite if the price isn't insane

The AT is a clone of it, but the problem with the AT is it is poorly made. Cheap inside components, non-working anti-skate, built into preamp, and more. NapalmBrain
I'm pretty excited, technics 1200 is still my favorite TT. I'm in if the price is reasonable

Guest
I expect the LE one to cost a few grand, and the standard to be close to $1k.

Guest
Craziness. So many better tables for the price, but I do agree, aesthetically I really like them.

I would not agree, I like the 1200 better than any Rega or VPI or Pro-ject I've heard. A Thorens is the only thing I've liked more but who has that kind of money
Guest
How good something sounds is all relative to the listener. Theoretically an audiophile table should sound better than a DJ table.
NapalmBrain
I dunno but they are as good as audiophile turntables, I've got a several friends and they all sound incredible and none of them have high end receivers/speakers. But still seem to go toe to toe with those who do. I think there is good reason they go for so much now, and not just cause DJs liked them (much of that had to do with them being workhorses)
DecayToDeath
Now I kinda want to upgrade...
NapalmBrain
I'm still jealous of anyone who owns one of those turntables I mentioned that I preferred a technics over. But I still can't believe how good anything sounds on one of my friend's old sl 1200 with an ortofon red cart, love going to spin records at his house

abovetheearth
it's only fitting that the 1200 also has a limited edition coming out too. wouldn't be vinyl without it. limited!

I'm sure they'll mark it up in price a ton too, just to take advantage of the vinyl resurgence.
