aflycon
It seemed too comical to me. Was it good? Yes. Was it their best? Absolutely not. The Gimmes were always able to put a punk rock spin on shit like "Lady" without it being cheesy, and that was cool. I think maybe they crossed over that line into being corny with the last album. That's me, but to each their own.
xadamhudsonx
Got my Are A Drag in yesterday on a lovely clear green. Sounds really nice, glad I held out on this one. Looking forward to more Fat reissues.
elnombre91
Got my copy of Backstage Passport in. Hella warped and the sleeve is super flimsy. Expected better from Fat Wreck.

GradedOnACurve
Looking forward to more Fat reissues. I know I'm opening a can of worms, but I really wish they'd press Rise Against The Unraveling reissue. I still don't understand why it hasn't happened. Also I wish they'd repress Good Riddance Operation Phoenix on color again. I'd pay $$$ for a white OG but a "Classic series" repress would save me some money... /opening of can

Satan
Got my Gimmes in today. The color fits perfect with everything and mine even has quite a few white streaks. Also. I LOVE the plastic inner sleeves these "classics" are coming in. No static or hassle. I also didn't see the pirates press stamp on this. Is Fat using a different plant? stranaspank
It's been a while since I've ordered from Fat and was wondering when they switched to good inner sleeves. A very pleasant surprise.
gabpower
What are you guy talking about? None of my recent FAT purchases had "quality" sleeves. Only normal paper sleeves.
dork337
What are you guy talking about? None of my recent FAT purchases had "quality" sleeves. Only normal paper sleeves. Not the regular releases, just the FAT classic represses. The descendents one had a sleeve like that and I seem to remember someone in that thread saying it has been like that for the last few classic represses, so it's relatively new. thebigbasic
It's just on the "classic represses". This Me First and The Descendents both had the nicer sleeves. Everything else I've gotten from them recently (Backstage Passport, LOC, etc) is the standard paper sleeve.

Fowty Dollaz
Received Gimmes today. It looks great! Super pumped for future classic represses (praying for some Larry Arms)
dethrock
Got mine today too, in Canada! Probably the fastest shipping I've ever had from the US. Excited to play it tonight this is probably my favourite album of theirs.
RustyShackelford
I have regular fat releases with the clear sleeve as well. The most recent black pressing of the decline has a clear inner sleeve too.

aflycon
I think this discrepancy could have something to do with when FAT placed each order at Pirate's Press. Maybe they're transitioning to clear inner sleeves, but some releases - Backstage Passport, for example - still have the paper sleeves. Backstage Passport was delayed because of problems at the pressing plant. Or, as Satan said, it could just be that FAT is using a different plant these days (or just for certain releases). Who knows? Who cares?
