paranoidantroyd
now, you guys let me know when you're ready to talk about the most driven artist on the face of the fuckin' earth. Omar Rodriguez Lopez?
booms528
Everything leaks. Watch The Throne did not leak until it was released on iTunes. That's all I'm saying. If he wanted to prevent a leak again, he'd release on iTunes a week early since it worked perfectly last time. I think there's a chance it hits iTunes tonight/tomorrow. zuck
i'm not angry, your stance is just wrong. http://pitchfork.com/news/51084-watch-kanye-west-perform-new-track-at-governors-ball/ http://pitchfork.com/news/51100-watch-hudson-mohawke-plays-new-kanye-west-track-during-dj-set/ http://pitchfork.com/news/51106-kanye-apparently-shot-an-american-psycho-themed-video-starring-scott-disick-and-jonathan-cheban/ now, you guys let me know when you're ready to talk about the most driven artist on the face of the fuckin' earth. Kanye is such a huge douche, but damnit if he also isn't a musical genius. All these posts have me even more hyped for the new album. I'll buy this shit on 8 track & figure out how to play it in my CD player if I have to. coryemis
booms528
kind of an interesting article/viewpoint on Kanye for anyone interested: http://noisey.vice.com/blog/the-glorious-mess-of-kanye-west
nardes
I saw a pic somewhere of a computer hard drive with the name Yeezus on it... I don't know the authenticity of it, but that's how they did it with WTT. Everything was saved to that hard drive and it always stayed with Ye/Jay therefore nothing could leak and it would make sense that's what Kanye would do again

rgarmen
kind of an interesting article/viewpoint on Kanye for anyone interested: http://noisey.vice.com/blog/the-glorious-mess-of-kanye-west That article is kinda lame. I'm a huge Kanye fan and while I agree with some points the writer makes, it just feels as though he was trying too hard.
3arl
There's gonna be a track featuring Justin Vernon and Chief Keef. Such an obvious pairing.

RowBearToe
From AbsolutePunk: Last night, Kanye West held an impromptu listening party for his new album, Yeezus. At the listening party, Kanye confirmed that Daft Punk worked on 3-4 of the songs, Rick Rubin executive produced the album and that a new track entitled, "Can't Handle My Liquor," will feature Justin Vernon (Bon Iver) and Chief Keef. dantheriver
Just checked out Chief Keef. Not impressed.
booms528
Yeah, Chief Keef is the worst. From what I read from people who went to the listening session, though, he was only on the hook, which would be ideal.

noalarmplanet
I always enjoyed rap as a ridiculous irony filled "Im punk but i know all the words to gin and juice" kind of thing. Kanye made me love rap as genre. Cant fucking wait for this. I was just thinking how his last album had an over abundance of art and this one does not. coryemis
noalarmplanet
"To me, Yeezus recalls the pummeling rush of groups like Death Grips, all gut-hammering electronic low end, guttural yelps, machine-gun drums and stabbing synths. And reverb. Reverb for days, which is why the concrete played such a pivotal role. Acoustics be damned, this one was gonna rock." Oh my god does this sound awesome. booms528
So I didn't get the surprise iTunes release that I wanted... oh well. With the physical (and digital) release a week from today, this should leak pretty soon. I think it could be a little later than normal, if he really just finished it up within the last few days then production/shipping will be delayed and it probably won't hit stores until a couple days before release. But who knows. Hopefully it's out by the weekend.
cwhitmuzik
Honestly I kind of hope it doesn't, just because midnight on Tuesday will be the most fun the internet will ever be. RowBearToe
darkeyelids
Where are these rumours coming from that he only finished it within the past few days? I can't see a perfectionist like kanye doing something like that, nor can I imagine a label supporting it
dreamover
why is this thread in the vinyl forum anyway? shouldn't it be everything else? since as of yet there is no vinyl. BobbyHill
