The album is a recording of live covers taken from the two nights of shows he did in Santa Ana, CA during December 2015. The shows were great, he had good energy and a lot more banter and talking than he usually does. It was a packed house and just added to the excitement in the room. The shipping sucks for sure I was about to ask Dustin if there's anything he can do about the shipping prices with KRM and then saw on their site the following: "We are no longer offering media mail due to its incredibly slow delivery times and high rate of damages to orders." His lorde and radiohead covers are great too. And obviously the tom waits cover. I saw him on his most recent tour and he really blew everyone away. I totally noticed that when I saw him in Cleveland. He always seemed very low key when I saw him with Thrice (that was the first solo show I've seen). But he was noticeably more vocal and upbeat during that show. I think the "hiatus" helped him. I think we are going to see the best music we've ever seen from him in the future. I already think Carry the Fire is one of the best things he's done. And more on topic, I'm excited for this covers album. Can't believe how he pulls off Wrecking Ball haha.
