Same even though I get a Assassin's Creed 1 vibes with the missions. The fighting gameplay is is AA all the way

The running/jumping mechanics are definitely similar to AC. The fighting is reminiscent of batman, although easier. They let you stop mid-attack to block, which you can't do in arkham. Upgrades like letting you take one hit without losing a combo make it fairly easy to go over x100.

My second biggest complaint with the game is that it is too easy to just beat everything with arrows. Everytime a war chief is about to kill me

I can just run away and fire 10 arrows into his head. Usually beats everyone of them.

I just got Demon's Souls and Dark Souls in today. Not having played any game of the series yet, which one should I best start with? I'm leaning towards chronologically, so Demon's first. I don't want to play them both at the same time.

Go Demon's first.  It'll teach you the basics (slab n stab) also going backwards means clumsier controls, which can be tough to get used to, although controls for Demon's are quite good.  I find going from Dark 2 to Dark 1 way more noticable and takes some getting used to.

Also start with Demon's but don't get discouraged if it's hard to progress.  Demon's is tough as nails.  Dark 1 is tough too, but I would say more enjoyable due to being able to advance/make progress easier, due to how they laid out the world and incorporated the bonfire/humanity system.

In Demon's you can only become human again by helping a host or using a rare, limited item (try not to use them all up), so you'll be undead a lot so you'll want to equip the ring that mitigates HP reduction when hollow.  It's actually not super hard to find a host, but escorting them to the boss and actually defeating it is the hard part.

I have a game in Demon's right now, can't remember my level at the moment, but if you get stuck it's possible we could try to link up and help each other.

All that being said Dark 1 is so amazing for it's level/world design and it's steezy vibe, so if you get fed up with Demon's give Dark 1 a shot, you might find it easier to progress, but it's probably best to try and stick to one at a time.

Thanks for your thoughts.

The first couple of hours were really tough, not because I died often, but because I was absolutely clueless about how to progress. The single thing that helped me most was finding out that as a knight I could also use magic, which made the Tower Knight and Armor Spider levels way easier.

Right now I am trying to find a way through the Stonefang tunnels, which is not that obvious.I don't really know what you are talking about with the host part, guess that this only comes up later in the game. Thanks for offering your help online, but considering the timezones we are in I would say that it is next to impossible to find a time that suits us both.

I remember getting the Playstation as a kid, around 5 years old, so that console to me just looks amazing. If only PS games nowadays interested me more then I would probably think about getting one

Just a heads up that Best Buy will be having a Buy 2 Get 1 Free sale for Playstation, Xbox, and PC games starting on Sunday and running through the 13th. If you've got Gamer's Club Unlocked you get an extra 20% off, which will take the price down to $96 for three $60 games.

I'm thinking about finishing up Shadow of Mordor so I can trade it in while the value is still high, and buy GTA V, Far Cry 4, and maybe Dragon Age. I'm still not sure though. I wish the deal was valid for Wii U games too.

I love the Wii U but they need to get some more games out (that are true wii u games based on Mario, Zelda, etc), not reissues and multi-platform stuff.

Extremely pumped for Zelda and Starfox. Have they announced a mario party?

Yeah it was at E3 this year and should be out I think it was holiday 2015. It will also have amiibo integration. I'm pretty excited for this one
