    v accurate.. thank you.

these pressings are all new pressings, the plant that did all of the original pressings closed and we started these from scratch - all of them sound better

This line is about as old as the albums. Who wrote this?! Also...$47 to ship via USPS? My head hurts. Self-titled look gorgeous, though.

we wrote it on the road mostly. when that was still a place.
and then recorded it in masks later, distanced at the beginning of the second wave.
it was autumn, and the falling sun was impossibly fat and orange.
we tried to summon a brighter reckoning there,
bent beneath varied states of discomfort, worry and wonderment.

we fired up the shortwave radios again, for the first time in a long time.
and found that many things had changed.
the apocalypse pastors were still there, but yelling END TIMES NOW where they once yelled "end times soon".
and the transmission-detritus of automated militaries takes up more bandwidth now,
so that a lot of frequencies are just pulses of rising white static,
digital codexes announcing the status of various watching and killing machines.
and the ham-radio dads talk to each other all night long.
about their dying wives and what they ate for lunch and what they'll do with their guns when antifa comes.

this record is about all of us waiting for the end.
all current forms of governance are failed.
this record is about all of us waiting for the beginning,
and is informed by the following demands=
    empty the prisons
take power from the police and give it to the neighbourhoods that they terrorise.
end the forever wars and all other forms of imperialism.
tax the rich until they're impoverished.

much love to all the other lost and lovely ones,
these are death-times and our side has to win.
we'll see you on the road once the numbers fall.

This got number1 in the U.K. album chart btw. Quite an achievement for a post rock band 😁

Ugh, can't justify this right now but that Maybes EP is still one of my favourite releases ever. It's just a collection of perfect sounds!

Hopefully the EP will be released separately at some point.

Alright, so as someone who doesn't live in the U.S. and would fucking kill for a concept such as "Media Mail" pricing, you're all fools and don't know the absolute privilege you have.

Any album I purchase, whether 2x LP or not, is going to have at least $15-20 shipping tacked on. Every. Single. One. It's not uncommon for single album purchases to run up to $50-60 with shipping factored in; like the latest F.S. Blumm release. I'm hesitant to purchase a copy since it'll end up costing me well over $60 with the exchange rate and shipping. Thankfully ANOST ships via Royal Mail which is usually fairly priced, but still, shit's expensive.

Also, free shipping on Bandcamp?!?!? This is news to me.

Speaking of this record, I was interested in getting it too, but have not been a fan of his recent stuff. The collab with Nils Frahm was ok I guess.
Also, $60 now is better then 100+ which is what most Sonic Pieces releases go for on aftermarket....

Minus the kids, I agree with everything here! Hot Car in the Sun felt like the most classic Bright Eyes to me and along with Stairwell Song it stood out on the first listen.

Someone else up there mentioned that the first half of the album is especially slow, and I would also agree. The album takes a while to pick up, and I think it does once Tilt-a-Whirl starts.

That song was really good, and Hot Car In the Sun really stood out on first listen. PNG and Mariana Trench are both growing on me more too. I gotta spend some more time with it. Kids make everything more difficult.

DUSTIN O'HALLORAN - Piano Solos repress. Seems they need to meet the quota of 300 pre-orders before it gets an actual go-ahead which is weird wording to me...
But it's such a damn good album.

15%, and it used to be 10% after 5k in annual sales but I don't know if it's the same anymore. But there's also a cut that Paypal takes, so it really adds up!

Maybe people could share some recent albums they have been digging that are available on Bandcamp to give people some ideas?  I've already scoured the Best Albums of 2019 list, as I do every year, but I'm always looking for more.  Here are some things from this year (or from 2019 that I discovered late) that I like:

-Floral Tattoo - You Can Never Have a Long Enough Head Start (TWIABP-esque emo)
-David Keenan - A Beginner's Guide to Bravery (Irish singer/songwriter)
-Rope and Ladder - Rope and Ladder (prog concept album)
-Dead Singers - Geographic (Scottish indie folk)
-Parannoul - Let's Walk on the Path of a Blue Cat (Korean instrumental mathrock)
-Snooze - Familiaris (I don't even know, but it's good)
