Do not like the variant options at all. Was also hoping for a standard black, retail release. 

I would actully prefer a “classic black” pressing.

Futures was one of the first albums I bought with my own money as a kid, so nostalgic ties definitely play a major role in my love for it. 

I can’t understand liking Futures as much as you do and then not checking out any of their succeeding  material. Everything is ace. 
 
EDIT: Oddly enough, coffee and cigarettes is my least favorite track on Invented. 

If Britney and Christina sold out (fairly quickly if I remember) then I’d assume NSYNC would as well. Space Jam will probably last longer. 

That could be just merchlimited’s only version. I’m sure it’ll have more variants through different outlets.

If course it’s no Met De Noms or Thirteenth Step, it’s been close to twenty years since MDN was released. Never expected it to sound like those albums in the first place. 

Yeah, I don’t think it’s really that weird.  It was to be expected when a band significantly shifts their sound.  This isn’t Thrice where they’ve been slowly evolving their sound for years on every consecutive album, the last albums Underoath had were straight ferocious.  This album is not.  It’s not that the album is bad or not good, but it is very different, and that takes adjusting to even if you’ve decided you like it.  The question is whether you like that Underoath is now a band with pop hook catchy choruses that are comfortable being on the radio with much less ferociousness.  If you’ve evolved the same way the band members have since their last album, then it’s peobably no big deal.  If you’re not, you’re probably sorely disappointed.  That is the split.  Band had to have seen this coming.  

They should at least be quiet while they drive (far away)

I made it through the whole album while reading along with the lyrics.  Every time Spencer screamed a little bit I kept telling myself that I wanted more but more never came.  If this was any other band I don't think that I would give it another chance.

I would just say there are good people and bad people, and they aren’t exclusive to any belief  or unbelief.

Really generous of them to give you more time to think about what you’ve done.
