Deep Discount did a huge add of titles to their Vinyl Blowout Bin section.  They had about 780 vinyl titles on Monday - I am seeing 3,300 now.   Lots of new and recent titles in many music categories.

Sacred Bones Records has just released a new Black Sabbath tribute album
The album features nine bands on the SB roster covering Sabbath classics, including Uniform tackling “Symptom of the Universe,” Thou taking on “Supernaut,” The Soft Moon covering “Black Sabbath” and Hilary Woods doing “N.I.B.” Honestly, it’s a pretty killer lineup all around. A vinyl version will be released on September 11.

I went to Bird And The Bee's concert last night in Hollywood (with Dave Grohl on drums).  It was a real love-fest for the band, lots and lots of friends and fans.
 
Dave was really cool the whole night.  At one point, singer Inara George saw a middle-aged woman in the corner near the front who was holding up a small sign.  Inara said "I'm not wearing my glasses, I can't read your sign, sorry", then she walked over to the woman and read the sign out loud.  It said something like "Dave, you're my Diamond Dave.   Could I have a drum stick please?"   
 
Anyway, Dave Grohl did that whole "aw, shucks!" thing, and walked sheepishly out to the front of the stage from behind the drum kit and gave the woman two drumsticks and a big hug.   The crowd went wild ....
 
The songs sounded great, btw.

I hope Suede fans don't mind, but I wanted to share this and did not want to start a new thread.
 
One of my favorite Suede-like Britpop bands, Geneva, is reissuing remastered / expanded versions of their two big albums.  According to the band's Bandcamp site the LP's include 2 discs, bonus songs and a bonus 7".
 
Both LP's are realllly cheap for pre-order from Target.com right now, and are also part of the Buy-2-Get-1-Free sale.  Can't beat the price, and I love the band and the music.  Suede fans who have not heard Geneva should listen asap, IMO.
