I'll obviously give this record a listen, but I've been more than unimpressed with their last few, and consider them one of the many mediocre acts in post-rock. 
Too much electronics/math for my tastes.

Got mine this past weekend and third time through I'm enjoying it more and more, as expected a  grower. Its slower pace overall and beautiful vocals contrast nicely with the harder riff tunes.
I like the new Oh Hiroshima track. Will wait for the whole thing before buying vinyl though. To this day, when listening to RIF and "Richard D Anderson" comes, I swear it's Maserati.

Hmm, damn...I thought they found the absolute perfect mixture of ambience & riffs on Guidance!
Nevertheless, I'm such a fanboy....this will probably become my AOTY anyways!

...wish he'd concentrate more on his playing. Haven't seen a sloppier drummer live.

Caspian is definitely right there with RC but I give the nod to RC.  I know this isn’t a popular opinion, but I always found myself wanting to like Dust & Disquiet more than I did.  I think it was too overproduced & I’d take Guidance over D&D any day.  
 
But I found myself getting into Long Distance Calling last year & mostly because they gave me riff-heavy vibes like RC.  Not nearly as good as them obviously, but the opener on Boundless even reminds me of early RC guitars.

This "definable peak" is exactly what I hate about all this generic PR-shit!
