Best thing to come home to after seeing Converge live just couple days ago? Have a note saying ya got You Fail Me mail from Throatruiner and when finally able to pick it up, discover two copies -one being the clear one. My favorite Converge record so I'm freaking stoked and it's a keeper for sure. They have the black with white splatter on the tour. 

^I'm also sure I saw a more promising answer from RR regarding The New Normal than what screen capped above.
I managed to secure7 a signed copy. In some way it feels a bit silly to get one as I do have some stuff signed by the band with a personal touch added to them buuut Cog is one of my faves and it's very unlikely they'd return to Europe so might as well go for all the possible extra I can get. Especially cos it was the same price.

Got mine. 2 out of 3 in unplayable condition...and of course those two being Sound Awake and Themata. Woo-fcking-hoo!

That being said, is everyone's labels on Themata all ok? Seen a few people posting how their copies have labels for Asymmetry or Sound Awake.
Also interesting that Themata sold less copies than Asymmetry. No surprise Sound Awake being the most popular one.

I'm Billy (shocking, right?). I think that my tradelist will give you some kind of idea of what I am into. My tastes are pretty much across the board, and I'm not expecting to land a white whale or anything. haha. To sum that up I am a huge fan of Brand New, NOFX, The Replacements, Jawbreaker, Descendents/ALL, Gaslight Anthem, Pedro the Lion, Old School 90s emo (Kinsella-esque stuff), The Ataris, NFG, Manchester Orchestra, Drive-Thru-era pop punk, IIOI, Springsteen, Elliott Smith, I also like old 60's psychedelic/garage stuff (The Zombies, etc) and shoegaze stuff like MBV and Nothing.
 
My favorite TV shows are Californication, Weeds (despite those two - I am not a stoner) Boy Meets World and I am a huge Wes Anderson fan, big Kevin Smith fan, some of my other my favorite movies are Eternal Sunshine, Garden State, Closer, Lost in Translation, Boondock Saints, The Departed and The Town.
 
In addition to vinyl I like art prints, I don't really have a specific taste though. If you draw me something, I'll likely hold on to it forever. I also read some comic books (ranging from Batman and a few Marvel comics to indies), so if you're also into any comics out there and want to put me on to them, I'll gladly read them. I also really like old 90s video game/pop culture (Sonic, Megaman) characters.
 
I also like traveling and stuff, so if there's anything little/cool that is specific to where you're from that you toss in there, that'd be cool. 
 
Like I said, I am not really going to make a wants list or anything here. This will be my third year doing this, and each year has been fun and I have been stoked to give what I gave and get what I got. 

I've shipped to Italy twice, plus Russia, Portugal, Israel, and Ukraine. All packages have made it. For each of these, the value is pretty low overall ($10-15 record). I usually have a conversation with people in countries other than Canada and US to let them know that without tracking, I can't guarantee it, but so far I've had total luck. I really do think that there's a percentage of luck.
 
I have had three packages that have taken more than 8 weeks (to Germany, Netherlands, and Belgium no less), and for the most part, people have been patient, and the record arrived. In one instance, after 2 months, I discussed with someone what to do about a $10 record (with $10 more shipping) that never showed up. He was very reasonable, and felt it fair to be refunded just the cost of the record (not a huge loss to me - something I had kicking around for a while). Sure enough, three weeks later, the record showed up and he paid me back the $10.
 
Generally you can get a feel for whether someone is pretty honest/just a collector like you. I am usually willing to risk sending without tracking if that's the case. Maybe I'm a bit of an optimist, but so far I haven't run into any issues. I'm sure if I do I'll change my tune...

This isn't my storage area but I recently had a friend build me a shelf/box type thing to hold my 7" records. I drew up the design idea which was cool to see him bring it to life. Really looks slick in person, beautiful wood and craftsmanship. Photos below:

So yesterday, my chinchilla did something that she had never done before - she chewed the sleeve of one of my records. I caught her in time, but I am putting a stop to it!
 

 
Today was my day off, so I went to Michael's and bought a few of those god awful LP frames (I felt like a tool buying them), and remembered I had a few Portugal the Man prints lying around.
 

 
So a trip to the hardware store later, I bought some black hinges, and before you know it, custom doors for the Expedit, and CHINCHILLA-PROOF Expedit.
 

 
Quite happy with how it turned out.

What I also like about this challenge is the fact I'm able to give out so many genuine likes to random people who just happen to have rad music. On the other hand...likes always coming from the same people no matter what you post. Just too stoked for records in general or "like for like" mentality (which is dumb). Anyway this is fun.
