rooks
Would you open a Dollar Store, set all the prices to $5, and then accept all $1 offers? This is what you are doing. Just set some prices... or put all of these up on Discogs where they belong with the offer option available.
Waves Records
Okay, in the extreme off-chance that people actually want to use your website instead of the numerous established sites that already exist (or just hit up the goodwill themselves) - how is that going to work? You're going to spend all your time researching the lowest value you should reasonably take for your product and trying to match offers to what you paid for the item. You might be alright with this, or have devised a system to reduce the amount of time dedicated to this process, but it doesn't feel like a very sustainable strategy. My guess is that in order for this to work, you'd have to have already set the lowest price you'd be willing to take. Which makes me wonder why you don't just create a set price and offer sales. Or even better: have random offer days. If you always accept offers then it feels like you've intentionally marked up the price beyond it's value (and you have, but that's something else) and now it becomes the responsibility of the consumer to essentially call you out on it. It can be fun to haggle, but not when haggling has been worked into the price of the item. Ok let's take this record : THE BEATLES : "The Beatles at the Hollywood Bowl" I set the price looking online (on discogs too !) lower than the market. If you bargain it we will talk about the price. All I need to know is how much I paid for. If you don't trust me check online my prices are market prices I don't know the value of any of my records till I check the value. The point is I am lower than the market, you can bargain it and you don't have to pay shipping rates from europe to USA to get European pressing. I have been working on this for a year, if it wasn't profitable I wouldn't do it. But instead of just putting my records on a third partie website I put them on my website. My records are cleaned, tested, stocked under plastic sleeves, and I provide pictures of the sleeve and the record plus a description of them. I don't just "throw" them on the internet. Just set some prices... or put all of these up on Discogs where they belong with the offer option available. I don't think this is what I am doing. I think I set prices after looking up on the internet but I don't lock the prices to what I want. I mean think about it you go to a store, a product is displayed for $10 and you manage to get it for $7 it doesn't mean the product is overprice (you are free to compare my prices with other websites), it doesn't mean that you didn't try to get the product for $5. All it means is you were given a chance to negotiate a price... Again the bargain process is an option. You are free to use the button "Add to Cart". Should I base my prices only on discogs ? I don't mind dropping that one to $

mssskat184
When I was 10 or 11, the only place in town to buy music was the basement of an antique shop. It was in business for ages, is still going strong, and there wasn't a dollar store record in there under 15 bucks. I was all about the Stones and my parents bought everything there because they were scared of the internet. They probably payed 20-30 dollars for things they could have bought for 5 dollars on discogs.I can't help but feel kind of bad for this guy- I'm not sure that he's trying to rip everyone off. He might just be a throwback and used to people paying pre-internet prices.
just a normal guy kevin
If I buy a little baby hamster and let her chew off the corners of an LP cover through the slits of her cage, that LP cover will still be considered Near Mint? I would say it is considered as G+ depending on the other defects of the sleeve and also the grade of the record itself.

FangsAnalSatan
I don't understand why WavesVinyls is still posting. Everyone that goes on this message board knows more credible sources that offer better prices for records, and also don't like dad rock. I feel like WaveVinyls posting on here is an act of futility.
