Peateargriffin
i thought the same thing with the radio towers, and not every time that your time elapses a new person arrives, but if you throw two people in there before you go to sleep youll usually wake up with a new stranger of the night at your vault door looking for breakfast
cambionic
I played it for a while, got pretty far and maintained 98% happiness. Then I left it open for a few hours without checking up and came back to 11 people dead, 13% happiness and everyone hating me. So I deleted the app.
radiatorhums
I'm having much better success with my second vault. It seems like restraint goes a long way. Does upgrading the vault door really do anything besides slow down the raiders? Or if you upgrade it enough will the eventually give up? Hossy55
I'm having much better success with my second vault. It seems like restraint goes a long way. Does upgrading the vault door really do anything besides slow down the raiders? Or if you upgrade it enough will the eventually give up? Just slows them down. If you are able to "staff" the entrance, I wouldn't worry about it. However, I haven't had to deal with death claws yet, so.....there's that Question: I'm still working on my "old" vault (before the update), but I have updated, and I don't see Mr. Handy, death claws, or mole rats yet. Do I need to start a new vault to see the updates?
dapeebs
It takes a while, for the mole rats at least. They didn't start coming for me until like 30 dwellers and 4 levels down.
radiatorhums
Just slows them down. If you are able to "staff" the entrance, I wouldn't worry about it. That's what I've been doing. Mainly wondering if it was worth my precious caps to upgrade if they're still going to get in. Don't really see the good in slowing them down if people are waiting to blow them away on the other side

Don't really see the good in slowing them down if people are waiting to blow them away on the other side It's worth considering for deathclaw attacks depending on your vault setup, but you can definitely take care of the problem via other means. I had hoped that maybe a fully upgraded door had built in laser turrets or something, but no such luck.
No This Is Patrick
Found an Android emulator (Anyone familiar with Bluestacks?) and have been playing Shelter on my PC. On my third vault and am taking it sloooooooooow. Have a Monopoly guy doppelganger in my vault and I just got some Power Armor from a lunchbox! Shitty Rambo
Yes, bluestacks is equally cool and frustrating. Haven't used it in a while but I'm pretty sure it's still based on friggin' Gingerbread.
clerk3745
For anyone interested, gamestop has selling GOTY fallout 3 and ultimate new vegas with exclusive posters and maps. Kinda cool.

Looking at the 3 version map, it looks exactly like the one Spacelab9 teased...
clerk3745
Spacelab9 teased something?
No This Is Patrick
It was this a few months ago... giving us more anxiety than needed. The Gamestop version for Fallout 3 you just mentioned has the same poster and I thought it looked familiar.
clerk3745
I see what you're saying. Yeah thats exactly what it is except waaay smaller, like 1/4 of the size of the one that came with the guide. Fallout Shelter update: now on my 6th or 7th vault... "low and slow, that is the tempo" Got crap from my lunch boxes and am just going very slowly. dapeebs
I don't think that map is new. That was included in the back of the strategy guide when Fallout 3 came out.
rooks
SO, true confession, I've never played a Fallout game seriously before. I have a 360. Do I buy Fallout 3 or New Vegas.

Duuuuuuude you're missing out. Definitely start out with 3. I like New Vegas better but it has so many things it improved on over 3, so it's awesome to see the improvements. Fallout 3 GOTY is $10 at Walmart. New Vegas is usually $10-$15 for GOTY edition as well.
rooks
I'm just soooo notoriously bad at open-world choice games... I'm a bit of a psychotic killer in games like this.
Satan
Do it. Now. Anyway. Yep im on vault number 9. Definitely learned not to upgrade too quick. Low and slow as stated before. This vault is doing awesome!

museummouth
Which one! 3 definitely to start. New Vegas is great but you'll like it more if you play 3 first.
No This Is Patrick
Which one! I would say 3 THEN New Vegas just because of my OCD. 3 is a classic, but NV had a lot of better or improved features. And I live in the desert (couple of hours away from Vegas) so I liked the environment.

rooks
Bleh I just don't know. I'd have to actually touch and use my 360 controller again.

Or just wait for the backwards compatibility... thats what i'm doing. I know I'll have Fallout 4 by then but fuck it. I've played both before but I guess its time for a confession myself... I never finished either. Not even close.
