You don't need to play the other games, the stories aren't necessarily tied together but to be honest you don't have time to finished either one of the old games with 4 around the corner. I'd just jump into 4 and once you're done go back and play the other ones if you still need to scratch that itch. I'm pretty sure 4 comes with 3 on Xbox One.
