roadmonkey
yeah I'm going to wait to see the indie on this, I'm sure someone like bullmoose or zia will have an exclusive pressing.

From was meant to be a fun re-imagining. Hello was very good, they just severely fucked up the vocal recording.

marc32137
I just got an email asking if I want to switch to Media Mail and they’ll refund the difference.
Shitty Rambo
Ordered a red indie variant from Bullmoose, not sure if these are gonna be delayed until 1/26/24 like the splatter variant but I'd rather pay later instead of now 😕 https://www.bullmoose.com/p/36524232/menzingers-some-of-it-was-true-red-vinyl

Shitty Rambo
Checked it out digitally and I'm really digging this album. Been waiting for them to revisit/expand upon that Rented World type of sound for almost a decade.
Fowty Dollaz
Anyone have this on vinyl yet? I've listened to this album more than anything else since October, and I'm really hoping the pressing holds up to the mastering digitally. My label finally printed for shipment, so I was reminded that it's on the way.
MacDonals
Yes, my per-ordered copy arrived two weeks ago. I ordered the Coke-Bottle Clear & Black Marble version from Kings Road Merch (surprisingly). Sounds good to me, but I have not had a chance to really blast it. Fowty Dollaz
Thanks! I dig the sound on Spotify streaming, but sometimes vinyl pressings can be really bad. So, this is good news so far.

marc32137
Got shipping notice today for my signed /250 from their store. Can’t wait to blast this album on my home speakers. Fowty Dollaz

So, this is good news so far. Interesting, I haven't had a vinyl pressing that sounds "bad" per se. The worst I've heard is on par with digital. Also, Epitaph has invested a lot in its vinyl business. I heard that Brett bought his pressing plant as he saw Epitaph's sales shift to vinyl and wanted to be able to meet demand, etc. Caveat: this is secondhand from someone who knows him, so take with salt. Rooster87
I’m sure I’m not alone in saying this, but has this album grown on anyone else? I brushed it off a bit at first but after actually spinning it a few times I definitely find it enjoyable. For sure different but I’m glad I didn’t completely write it off. It didn't grab me at first, but it's solid.
booms528
100% agree. at first i thought it was fine but nothing great, but it really grew on me and ended up definitely being in my top 5 albums of the year
onandonandon
I'm still waiting for it to click for me. There is nothing especially bad about the album but still just feeling indifferent towards most of the tracks even after seeing them live twice on this tour. marc32137
It's been on consistent rotation for me since it first came out. The latter half took some extra time, but overall it's a very solid album.
Rip
From my very first listen I thought it was the best thing they’ve done since On the Impossible Past Shitty Rambo and drewberinger

First single I heard was good, but the title track hooked me. Whole first half is very strong. Gotta echo marc regarding second half. It's very good, but hasn't completely won me over. Still a fantastic record all around

Or maybe I had just heard too much of the A side and never gave the second half a chance. Once I listened though I really started to enjoy it. SaulManella
So my /250 shipped from Los Angeles. It went from there to San Francisco and is now in Oakland. I live in Phoenix. I have a theory that the kings road warehouse was built on an ancient Indian burial ground. An old ancient curse is really the only thing I can think of that makes every experience with them terrible. SaulManella
Got it in today. That "alternative cover" is a piece of paper folded over it. Doesn't even fit and looks stupid lol. Got #39/250 so that's cool.
