oakland
My wife graduated from culinary school today, so I didn't get to the record store until 4 p.m. Almost everything was gone, but I really just wanted to make an appearance and support the my local record store. I'm sure some of the stuff I wanted will be around in the coming weeks. It was nice to be in a crowded record store for once.
pianorocker
So what was special about the fun. Aim and Ignite RSD lp? I know the original press was rainbow splatter...but why was this special? I didn't track it down unfortunately.

pianorocker
there was a passion pit one? damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn Yeah, I may be able to get another one. I don't think it was that popular or limited. It's on Ebay cheap as well compared to most...especially this soon after.
adamlikesmusic
There were like 50 of the Passion Pit record at each store I went to.
controlthebleeding
Marty and I got up early to make it out to Record Store Day. We got a parking lot space, and were probably 30 or 40 back in line at 9:25. By 10pm there were around 150 people in line. We went through the rows. i took the 7" route (bad call) and was able to obtain the last WILCO box set (for birdwell). Someone offered me $20 just to take it off my hands.. lol. People were trading out loud in the vinyl section. it was hilarious. I wish i had more cash, but i was lucky enough to get myself a HWM 7" and the "hold steady" lp. the "hold steady" lp was my main concern. i wanted the "Blood Mountain" but 45.00 was a bit steep. by the time i made my way to the pantera section it was sold out. Waterloo had 200 releases and they were pretty much all gone by 10:30am. It was nuts. I talked to birdwell later. he was nice enough to get me 2 pantera albums. SO FUCK YES!!!! Now what i didn't get and want: Superchunk 7" Soundgarden 7" Fucked Up - 7" Wilco - 4lp (it's fuckin' nice) hopefully i'll find them at a later date. If anyone has extras let me know. Guest markovianprocess
I thought it was /1000 and then 100 of each exclusive cover? I'm pretty sure Adam is right. I also picked up an extra Daytrotter 7 inch in the event someone wanted one and couldn't get it. It'll be cost plus shipping. I took the figure direct from the Record Store Day 2010 UK list: http://www.indierecordshop.org/ralfe-band-2 Fucked Up “Daytrotter Sessions” (Beggars 450 only) Matador done the US pressing of that 7'' which was the 1700 copies with 10 different covers and the regular cover. julianisdead
This may be a long shot, but I saw a record yesterday while browsing that had a sticker on it that said "sounds like Patti Smith singing for Joy Division." Now I can't remember for the life of me what band it was. It may have been a RSD record.

scottheisel
Also, I'm really bummed with the Joe Strummer - Streetcore packaging -- the photo inside the gatefold is SUPER pixelated and looks pretty crappy, to be honest. Thank god the songs are still impeccable!
