monsterrod
Out of curiosity, I checked out the price tag on this one: $99.98 pre-shipping. I wonder if this will sell.
Guest obzen
Ha, still in stock after 16 minutes. Justice was gone after 5 minutes. And, no, I did not buy this.
monsterrod
Still there. Maybe $100 was too much to charge for an orange piece of shit?
lifebystereo
"an orange piece of shit" hahahaha
mattisr1984
its not selling because people don't want the embarrassment of having a 4xlp of st anger sitting on their shelf. such a release completely contradicts what a pile of shit this album is from both a songwriting and recording standpoint. rtw88
Everyone just hates this albums because it's cool. I'd imagine the majority of people that claim to hate it have never listened to it. It's way better than Load and Reload.

mkatn
I can't listen to an album that had its main single with lyrics like, "You push it out, you push it out." The album sounded like someone literally took a shit in my ears, with the previous lyrics making the illusion all too real.

The album sounded like someone literally took a shit in my ears, with the previous lyrics making the illusion all too real. That's poetry compared to some of the lyrics on their new album. Some jerk at work put it on, I guess he didn't know we have a no post "Justice" policy at work. Anyway, here's what I remember... "Suck on the barrel! Suck on the barrellllllll!" And everything else just seemed to be cheesy end rhyme. These dudes suck. I might even give a pass to the black album since it's been so long, and the stuff they put out after that is so abysmal, but yeah, Metallica has put out more bad stuff than good stuff at this point. bybombasticbomb
Metallica is one of my favorite bands and always will be. But St. Anger was terrible. They should have just done that movie about it and never released the album. In memorial of better times, Master Of Puppets is currently spinning. \m/

somethingvinyl
Yeah, the St. Anger doc is one of the best I've ever seen. It's so funny that such a great film could accompany such a bad album.
plasma36
I can't listen to Metallica without laughing anymore.

It's way better than Load and Reload. Just because one steaming pile of shit smells less bad that the two steaming piles of shit next to it does not mean that it still isn't a steaming pile of shit and that is exactly what every album after the Black Album was, a steaming pile of shit. Metallica's best days ended after Master of Puppets which was the last truly great thing they did.
weinerdog
I'm in the minority, but I think Ride the Lightning was their masterpiece. Both MOP and AJFA were pretty much rehashes of it in song structure. Fast opening song > long epic title song > heavy slower song > ballad that uses E chord notes > etc. Black album was fine for the masses of course, but their days of innovating were long gone. It's way better than Load and Reload. listened to all 3. This album is still terrible. Might be the worst thing I've ever heard from any band of their "stature". Comparatively speaking, Death magnetic sucked too. I'm confused how this debate seems to come up all the time. Band hasn't released anything worthwhile in over two decades. mcpherson123
RTL is great but I feel that MOP and AJFA are the pinnacle of prog-tinged thrash. Definitely my favorite 2 albums from them.
