My house is a friggin zoo...

here's my demon dog Jazzy (or as The Emotron has dubbed her "lil pickles") shes half Pit, half boston terrier... she's totally fearless, and an asshole.. she has close to a 5 foot vertical leap, and has gone after mastiffs and rottweilers

Here's Joedog, he's a katrina rescue, and he's half lab, half chow... which leads to a super neurotic/overly friendly dog.

here's his twin sister Lizzie, she's very docile and quiet.... until someone she doesn't know comes in the house.. and then she's the one dog you have to worry about.

here's baxter, he's a fighting rescue

my wife got me baxter 2 weeks after my other pit Frankie had to be put down because of a reoccuring spinal infection... you can barely tell the difference between them.

and my two bengals.. cleo and chompers

I like this thread.

This is Snicket J Kat - he adopted me in Brooklyn as a feral alley cat after he was severely injured in a fight. I cleaned him up but the vet wanted to put him to sleep since he has FIV. The vet told me he'd never live past 3. Snicket is now 22 pounds and 8 years old. He follows my 1 year old around all day and is his best friend, I've never seen a cat/child bond like they have.

I have three other cats so I'll post more later - they're all rescue animals with fun backstories.

Here's Sadie, the only pet i've ever had! We rescued her a year ago (almost to the day) from a cats home, she's a tabby/bengal mix. She came from a home with a ton of cats who were pretty much left to their own devices so she was pretty badly socialised even at two years old and terrified of pretty much everything as she'd spent most of her life with other cats and without much human contact. After an initial three months of constant hiding she's come around pretty well, she still wouldn't be considered a "normal" cat but she loves me and my girlfriend and now wakes us up in the middle of the night just so we can hang out with her. Getting her was hands down the best decision we made last year!

Still can't find any pictures of our newest dog, Jaws. He has a terrible under bite and is going through a lot with allergies to food right now. Poor dude is biting the shit out of himself. It was getting better but he seems to be chewing himself raw. I think it might be time for one of those neck cones for a while so he can heal.

My girlfriends family dog was having this same problem. She was chewing patches of hair off all over her rear end and tail. They recently started giving her fish oil and her fur has grown back wonderfully! She's not chewing on herself anymore and only scratches here and there. She looks much happier though, with her allergies she looked miserable. I guess what I'm saying is, it might be worth a try for the poor little guy.

the fish oil is good for a dog's coat and joints even if they don't have skin problems! :]

also, try a wheat/grain free food like california natural. (http://www.californianaturalpet.com/)

my ex's dog was scratching himself open and driving him nuts chewing his paws and that was the first thing the vet recommended. also, a fish and potatoes based food tends to help dogs, because sometimes they build up allergies to chicken or lamb for some reason.

This is my kitty, Archimedes. We got him from the local humane society about 3 years ago--he was the last from his litter. He's super affectionate and always wants to be a part of whatever is going on. He sleeps either on top of me or in my nightstand every night. He was supposed to be my fiancée's cat but he loves me more hahaha.
