yocaseycasey
... that he is hanging out in a dive bar in Indianapolis with The Early November. Does anyone really care about this band anymore? I though In Currents was one of the biggest let downs of 2012. Then again, what do I expect out of a band that sings "You baked it in cakes for me." collectivemike
I do have a soft spot for the Early November but I don't think I've listened to the new one since it came out. That being said, hanging with them shouldn't be bragged about, they are just guys.
sjb2k1
when ace did the where's the band tour early this year there were two chicks in front of me openly hoping that he and he wife would get a divorce, obviously because he would find them later, rescue them from their obscurity and fuck them both happily ever after. Don't knock it til you try it, this is exactly how I met my girlfriend. My girlfriend is the guy from The Rocket Summer, by the way. yocaseycasey, 3arl, sjb2k1 and 2 others
FlippingOut
^ hahahahah as for The Early November, i saw them this summer at a music fest, thought they performed pretty well and they also played a bunch of old songs. I always saw them as a band who had a few good songs. Never listened to anything from In Currents.
imkylejackson
The only time I've ever heard anyone I know mention this band was when my roommate was telliing me he was on a trip in Kentucky with his family like 8 years ago. I guess he stayed at the same hotel that they were at while they were touring with Senses Fail (I think?). He said the dudes were cool and when they asked him if he was into their band, he said "No, my girlfriend is the only person I know that likes you guys." What a poor, awkward choice of words. Shitty Rambo
According to that PO thread for their new book, I mean, album, people are still super gay for them.
Emo Revival
I used to fan girl out over stuff like this, but after a while you realize they're just people and it becomes less exciting. Don't meet your heros.
kylekrische
This band is fucking terrible. Ace can't write a goddam song that doesn't sound like something a 6 year old would come up with and the fact that other bands now let him "produce" their records blows my fucking mindddddd

skidroje
My old band played a show with them in Iowa City a long ass time ago. After we did the load in, we went to Pancheros to get something to eat. with Ace and the drummer. As we were walking Ace just stops and goes, "Look at that tree man. What a beautiful tree. Such a lovely tree. I should write a song about this tree." Nice guy but slightly off possibly? Just a note: the tree wasn't some special tree or landmark or anything. Just the tree in front of Gabe's by the benches) almightyseancore, Rip and rudeboydh

gmoney
I didn't read anything in this thread but I'll say this. In Currents is a terrible record. Some of the worst lyrics I've ever heard.
bigbruise
I saw the yellowcard dudes at a steak n shake once. I asked the singer to sign my burger, he laughed and pulled out a marker to actually do it. I said dude I'm going to eat this and walked away. I was a cool 18 year old that night

selfreliable
I was in a Denny's with them when their first album came out (I was at dennys, they were at dennys, I was not there because they were) and Ace and the band were hitting on all these underage girls. Totally gross and wrong, Since then I just always picture him as a pedophile who writes songs aimed at 14 year old girls to get in their pants.
