I grabbed one LP in this sale to give them another shot. I pulled my Four Minute Mile the other day and they still didn't make sense to me. I even asked myself why I've been toting it around for like 15 years now in my crates. The reality is that we can't like everything. Then you get a pretentious site like Pitchfork where writing a review like that gets you a cool point instead of constructively dissecting why you didn't like them. The whole review is poorly written. He actually dissects the literal meanings of lyrics in an attempt to sound educated and smart, then goes on to employ the same tactics he's bitching about. He complains about the "cliché" aspects of the music, yet he uses a whole bunch of clichés to describe how cliché it is. What is great is a chance to get that Four Minute Mile and Woodson 7". When I pre-ordered for 35 dollars the thing never came and after 2 months I had to get a refund.
