circuit bored records
Yeah let's be cops was pretty disappointing but still entertaining enough for me to sit through. I watched Horns this morning. I thought it was pretty awesome, and I'm usually not a fan of movies with overt biblical subtext. Aja's filmmaking has definitely become more refined over the years, and I love that he broke away from the conventional horror film with this one. He is one of my favorite directors out there. And why are British people so good at doing American accents yet it's never the same the other way around??
3arl
In line to see interstellar in IMAX. Very very excited
jerseydave77
Just saw a guild screening of Interstellar. Does "holy shit" count as a review?
3arl
Just saw a guild screening of Interstellar. Does "holy shit" count as a review? I feel the same way. It was jaw-dropping, batshit crazy, heartbreaking, and ultimately hopeful all at once. In 50 years I honestly wouldn't be surprised if this gets viewed as our generation's 2001. It was that good. There are definitely some problems with the movie (I mean the movie is built around a literal plot hole so those hoping it makes total sense are out of luck). But if you focus on those minutiae, then you really miss the grandeur of the rest of it.
Bladew1ll1s1sdead
Can we talk about how good Gone Girl was? I was floored. I left feeling hopeless. That was a damn good movie. topher
Bladewillisisdead
Gone Girl was dope. I especially loved how mad the ending made all the senior citizens at the matinee I went to. Seeing Nightcrawler tomorrow. Might make it a double feature and hit up the 10pm Interstellar showing.
tarzioo_
Can we talk about how good Gone Girl was? I was floored. I left feeling hopeless. That was a damn good movie. Yes!! I loved it. I used to think I was good at scheming. I have a long ways to go apparently!
topher
Seeing Interstellar on Sunday. Hearing raves from you guys has me pretty amped!

jerseydave77
I was 1 of 9 people that saw the film. No joke - the other 8 have informed me that I am in the severe minority on raving about it. They're obviously stupid and taking liberties with their freedom of opinion.
paranoidantroyd
If you have HBO then do yourself a favor and check out Mr. Dynamite.
circuit bored records
Saw Nightcrawler earlier tonight, I thought it was pretty good, definitely a very exaggerated take on contemporary news and journalistic outlets, but it was still entertaining. Gyllenhal's performance was fantastic.
Rip
In A World...: It was one of those movies that was kinda just "there." It was supposed to be a comedy but it wasn't really that funny and there were obviously some moments that were meant to be more "emotional" but I didn't really feel enough for any of the characters to really care. Starred Up: This was incredible. A very realistic (I assume?) look at prison life in the UK. Plus all the performances where top notch. I highly recommend this one. Bladew1ll1s1sdead
Read what it was about. Fuckin Nope City. I got so freaked out while walking outside to smoke and being alone out there, I had to call someone.

radiatorhums
I really dug Babadook. Watching Frank now. It's entertaining, but a little forgettable.
radiatorhums
I didn't really enjoy Babadook. I just hated that fucking kid. Kid is still 100x better than the kids who play Abel. My bar for child actors is super low.
Bladewillisisdead
I don't even consider the kid who plays Abel an actor. He's a mistake. I really wanted to like Babadook but it just never grabbed me.
Rip
I didn't really enjoy Babadook. I just hated that fucking kid. The kid really was the worst, at least during the first half. He wasn't too bad during the second half.
