As far as mine goes, it seems like the smell is in the label. And it's not as strong as I imagined, but still pretty neat. Other people may have copies that smell more than mine. If you seriously want to know it's because of the screen-printed jackets and handbill that comes with it. Basically, it's an arty version of a widely available record you can get on amazon for less than 20, so if you want colored vinyl and some sick looking art, buy it, otherwise amazon away! Been playing the MP3s weekly already....also will be buying the cassette......people like what they like and I like this! Also whoever above trollingly said why don't they just charge $150 for stuff: Iron Giant Deluxe, Mondo-000,......it's getting close already.
